Since it's so cold here for most of the year, it is quite common to see people wearing shorts and warm-weather attire when it's only 40 degrees F. I must be getting old, because I want to tell them to put on a coat! (rofl)

It was 100 degrees (F) yesterday. Had severe thunderstorms last night. Reports of nickel and marble size hail a few miles away. Today is supposed to be much nicer - mid 80s and no severe weather.

Much nicer today 20dgC and sunny. Back to the heat tomorrow, but it is nice to have a reprieve from heat even though its only one day. There's a fire on Knox Mountain, it is one of 3 mountains in the city. Starting to get heavy wildfire smoke from the fires around the Central Okanagan.
This guy is happy and safe on Dilworth Mountain.

It was another hot one today, 38dgC. Lots of smoke in the air from the fires. Gets difficult breathing and hard on the eyes too. The forecast for the next week is hot and no rain. Here is a pic of the sunset last night ...

You take such beautiful pictures! Hope the fire and smoke clears. That stuff wreaks havoc on asthma and allergies. Hope everyone is safe!

Nice here at the moment - not too hot - there is a big full moon out there.
Called Andy around 10 p.m. and asked him if he could see it but he told me it was still light out up there in Baker Lake.

Hot here again. We had a really bad thunderstorm yesterday, and I was hoping it would cool down a bit, but it didn't.
It is a real feel of 95 degrees.

We had a reprieve yesterday, it was only about 22degC and it was great! Back to the extreme heat for several days. Maybe a thunderstorm tonight. If there is lightning there will be more fires. The Okanagan has put out requests to Mexico, Australia and New Zealand for firefighters. Hope some will be able to make the trip to help.

I pray they send more help and can get those fires under control quickly.
