I always felt that the Shine was an intuitive Telepathy that had Precog, Postcog, and a little telekinesis. I never saw Carrie, Charlie, or even Johnny SMith having the Shine. They had psychic powers, but the Shine is fairly noticeable. Danny, his father Jack, Jake Chambers, Mother Abigail, and Ellie Creed had the Shine.

I mean...damn...SK wrote a book titled, "The Shining".😝
I think the most prominent aspect of Dick Hallorann's and Danny's abilities was 'the telepathy'.
It was really focused on in their discussions where they simply used their minds.
Mother Abigail I really think was different, though she had those abilities...but she had MORE.
A LOT more.
Johnny Smith was a precog and nothing more.
No telepathy there. And I do not think that Danny or Hallorann's precog abilities were as powerrful as Smith's.
First mention of the shine?
Didn't Hallorann make mention of the fact that was what his 'grandmother' called it?
When he was telling Danny, "You got the Shine"....not verbatim I know.
And maybe I am misremembering. 🙂
I still think 'Breakers' cover all the different abilities.
And character's like the Red King and/or Flagg looked at them all as tools....Trashy was definitely a useful tool for Flag.
Though that came back to bite good ol Randy in butt severely. 🙂😉 |

What About John Cofee From The Green Mile Do You Guys Think He Had it too? Also What You Consider His Healing Powers a Part of That Gifts Like The Shining?

Coffee might have had it, akin to how Mother Abigail had it. I am currently rereading the Dark Tower books, it seems like most of the Gunslingers had a variant of it
