Good morning MaryPeg! We need GNTLGNT's advice! I wonder if kidney function affects your level of hydration? Are you drinking plenty of water? Dehydration can cause leg cramps. I remember my mom telling me to eat bananas when I'd get let cramps - so it could be potassium you need. Diabetes comes with nerve pain - can you tell if it's nerve pain or muscle pain? Take your meds when you need to. I know you don't like to take pills, but you know when you need them. I wish I could help, honey! Stay distracted too. I'm always thinking of you!

I am going to ask my nurse this week if she can prescribe me something.
I try to drink as mych as I can, but maybe it is not enough.

I'm getting them a lot now. Any suggestions what to do to help stop them? I get them too, they are awful. The doctor gave me a prescription for Pramipexole and it works great. Might take a few trys to get the dosage right. I take four .25mg, but he told me when I started them the dosage can go up to 10 if needed.

I second what Holly said; that was along the lines of what I was thinking. I hope you can figure it out and remedy it. Those kinds of cramps hurt like the dickens.
