Before I begin, is it possible we can get "Collectibles" sub forum? Thanks to the new version of IT, companies like, Mezco, Neca, Funko, and a various others are obsessed with Stephen King properties. Anywho, Mezco's 1:12 line rocks socks, the sculpts are dead on and all the extra's they provide, like a base, a claw stand, the cloth outfits, they just rock. Down side, they rock so much they start at 80-100 and they usually sell out within a day of being available for pre-order. I got the 2019 version of Hellboy, which rocks, for the retail price, but it's already starting to sell for 200-300 on Ebay. In short, their 1:12 line, the value doesn't go down, it goes up, and fast, even out of the box, hell the boxes even sell for 20 dollars. It comes with four heads, numerous sets of hands, a boat hand, a balloon hand, are two of the hands, a dismembered arm, and the base and claw stand all their figures come with, and of course the outfit is cloth. Neca made an 8 inch cloth Pennywise which wasn't bad at all but these one just seems to own it, I'll get it in a week probably and do a far better run down since images sometimes hide certain flaws. This is the last one of their 1:12 figures I'll probably get though, while they rock, most of the ones they make are of Marvel and DC characters, which I don't care for, the Dark Knight Returns Batman looks bad a*s, same with the Harley Quinn, but I don't care for that franchise. Here's one shot of the Pennywise.

Maybe?....I need to look through the threads and see the best place for it. 🙂
Really a great bring, Deviancy . Thanks for that. 🙂 And by the way, do you collect? Have a collection of SK memorabilia? Or anything else? ...I've thought about doing a 'comics collections' thread before. I think that could be something muskrat might be interested in too. Just wondering. 🙂

Now that there's a collectibles forum, I'll create a "new find" thread of just random King related merch. But keep in mind, for his mass merch related films, such as Green Mile, sometimes you do have to go with custom made stuff on Etsy and other shops like Etsy. But I'll get into that on the other thread, can't say much more about the 1:12 PW, they just shipped it today. wolf I'll touch on the random King collection I have in the random thread... it isn't that extensive though.

I got the lil fella yesterday, took awhile to get the right pose and I went with the default head, the other heads are cool but I prefer the default head, with the boat in one hand and the balloon in the other. The figure f'in rocks, its hands down the best sculpt of Pennywise out there, it beats the rest, and well, it should, I mean it hit the triple digit mark. Its the most I've ever spent on a figure, and Hellboy would come in at #2 on the "most spent" list, but both are worth it.
The articulation is solid but if one gets one, they don't want to mess with it too much, the 1:12 line aren't sturdy, so pick a pose and try to stick with it for awhile. The accessories, it was almost too much, the stand is cool, the base has the IT logo, like the Hellboy has the BPRD logo, and so many different hands. But here's the thing, they're popped onto very delicate pegs, so I don't recommend popping them on and off too much either. That's the down side to the 1:12 line, they look outstanding but they are delicate, but so are Neca's figures.
One issue, the bottom shelf is filled up now because the bases for the figures wide, so only two 1:12 figure bases fit, I can maybe squeeze in one more 1:12 figure but it'll have to use a different kind of stand, and well, I already did order one, but this figure is "generic. A company called Phicen or something like that makes 1:12 female figures that have silicone skin and are very life like. My goal, to make a custom figure of Cassie Hack from Hack/Slash to be in the middle of Hellboy and Pennywise since she's a character that hunts down monsters. Some indie company makes a five inch Cassie Hack figure but its total crap, the paint app is horrible, the articulation is painful, and it doesn't even look like her.
The catch, since it is silicone, dyes from clothing can leave permanent marks, so it may be a harder to do this little mission than I thought, I also have to either find a different head with the right length hair, or cut the rooted hair on the head it comes with just right.
In short, I got a project that I gotta be careful with coming soon.. I guess..

I whould like to see some eyes of the dragon stuff or something The thread I created has quite a bit of King merch, its just most of it is custom made. Mezco and Neca can't be too risky, it costs a lot for them to do all of the highly detailed sculpting etc, and so on, so the franchise has to have a large following.

Oh, one thing to keep in mind when it comes to Mezco's 1:12 line, if the character doesn't show any skin, they'll just use a generic body underneath the clothing. One gets more for their money when it comes to the characters where they have to do body sculpting as well, like on their Hellboy 1:12 figure.
Blade, Hellboy, Predator, Conan, and Harley Quinn, one gets the most for their money on those since they went all out on the body sculpts as well.
I think I'm done for awhile though, I did order a new Hellboy, one for investment, one for display.
Done now.... unless its jacked up and I have to go through a painful replacement thing.
The Eric Draven is due out soon but no thanks. McFarlane, Neca, Diamond Select, and others, they've all done well made Crow figures but they're all sculpted to look like Brandon Lee. No one seems to want to take a risk and try to do the comic book version of Eric, and he didn't have a last name in the comic. He had cooler hair, the makeup was more menacing, and the outfit was similar but a bit more gothy. He basically looked like a mix of Peter Murphy and Daniel Ash from Bauhaus. I can see Mezco maybe make an exclusive comic book version as part of the 1:12 line but if so, it'll be very limited and expensive.

....not wanting to get off topic here, Deviancy . But every time I see this pic and the creepy 'Stan's fright painting' in the upper left corner, I can't help but think of Guillermo del Toro's vision of "Mama" in the movie of the same name. Like Burton, so many of his characters are based on his own artworks. Such as "Pan's Labyrinth" and the "Hellboy" flicks.....

Like Burton, so many of his characters are based on his own artworks. Such as "Pan's Labyrinth" and the "Hellboy" flicks..... Its funny you'd mention one of the accessories, I was just looking at the pic, the base for the stand isn't what the figure comes with, the base is black with the IT letters on it, no clown face. I was at Walgreens last week, they now have one of the newer Neca Pennywise figures in stock, this one has two head sculpts and it looks pretty good for 30 dollars, nowhere near as good as the Mezco one but it's 70 dollars cheaper. I'd recommend it to Pennywise fans just to have, but it won't go up that much in value, it may go for 70 dollars a year or two from now. Too much PW merch was made, that isn't a good thing for those who collect for investment purposes. Its like the comic book thing, the value on back issues was going up very well on some titles but then they started mass marketing trades that collected numerous back issues, so many were like, "well, why pay 20 dollars per issue when I can get the trade with the first eight issues?". That put a lot of shops out of business, which meant less shops for the publishers to sell their product to, so the publishers hurt themselves by double dipping, they should have just did random trades once in awhile like they used to but they started doing them every 6-12 months. That's why I like Mezco and Neca, no re-issues, you get it when its fresh off the truck for a decent price, or get hammered on Ebay down the road. Its the way the collectors market should be, these figures aren't for kids so having some kid cry about not being about to get the 1:12 Pennywise, unlikely. Besides, most kids don't even like figures anymore, its just games, games, games, its mainly an adult market now.
