neesy we have the same brand, but ours does not have the basket. We bought a basket separately, but it doesn’t fit in ours. That's weird - it seemed ours didn't fit at first either but we managed to wiggle it in there - if you use the paddle it has a tendency to smash up some of the food
Not sure what to make for supper tonight - I sometimes feel like I'm running out of ideas
I haven’t really had stuff getting smashed up. Mostly we put raw potatoes, cut bite size, or chicken wings. We buy raw wings, no seasoning and freeze them. We put them into the air fryer frozen, but separated. Only add salt & pepper.

I am trying something new today.
Since dairy free ice cream, also free of my allergens, is really expensive, I decided to try making my own. Here’s what I did:
One can full fat coconut milk, 1/4 cup brown sugar, pinch salt, 1/4 tsp vanilla. Mixed it all with a hand held blender. Now it’s sitting in the freezer for an hour. Then, I’ll take it out, mix it again, and return to freezer for about 8 hours...or until I decide to try it.
Wish me luck

Didn’t go exactly as planned. Eight hours resulted in coconut ice.
So I chopped it into chunks with a meat cleaver, then put the chunks in my blender.
It was cold, melt in your mouth, and creamy. So, not a loss.

I am in need of healthy snacks. I used to just grab a fruit or veggie, but I cannot eat them now. I am trying to increase what cooked veggies I can eat.
Does anyone have suggestions/recipes for cooked veggies that can be eaten cold later?

Does anyone have suggestions/recipes for cooked veggies that can be eaten cold later? What about a fruit salad? Can you eat the type of fruit salad you get in the little cups?
As far as cooked vegetables look for a recipe for marinated carrots online - maybe that will help?

Just had another thought - I made a Russian Borscht recipe (aka beet soup) recently and it was quite good - maybe try something like that?

I can eat Delmonte single serve peaches. But not full size cans or other brands, because they are all firmer, I assume less cooked. I can occasionally eat Delmonte single serve mandarin oranges. But pears….nope. Pineapple nope (disappointing because now pizza is fake cheese, ham, and tears).

For now here's a question....what about pop corn, can you eat that/ I like to make my own in a large covered pot/Dutch oven. It's easy and fun.🙂
Got to go for now, see you laters. 🙂

You would usually consider popcorn a healthy snack….but it’s probably where my trouble started.

Does anyone have a recipe to make salad dressing with avocado but without dairy or mayo? I really miss potato salad, and this was suggested as an alternative.

You know, if you have the time, you could make a list of things that YOU CAN HAVE right here. That might help some of us come up with GOOD IDEAS for you. 🙂

.....and citrus juices, like lemon, lime and grapefruit can be substituted for the vinegar. You can always use another oil like your canola, if you don't like the olive oil.

If it were me, I would make up a cooked salsa verde, then add in the avocado like usual, put it in a sauce pan and heat it enough to cook the AVOCADO. Then take that reduced salsa, let it cool, then make the dressing with the oil and vinegar/citrus juice.
......but maybe something like this might be easier for you :

Sorry, I don't seem to be much help to you annamarie. 🙂
