No not a cookie tin (although I do have one my Mom brought over from Scotland in 1945). This is a cookie press - you put the cookie dough in it and squirt it out onto the baking sheet.
It makes shapes like trees, wreaths, stars etc.
It also has a nozzle if you want to use it for decorating using icing
That is so nice Neesy. i have my greatgran's little mincemeat pie tins, which she brought over from Eire. i treasure them. That's so cool (and I like how you call Ireland "Eire") - I kept the envelope from someone who sent me a Christmas greeting from there

Yesterday I baked a large ham in the oven - I really wanted it for the bone so I could make split pea soup.
Man! There was a lot of meat on it - now we have some in the freezer for later plus quite a few slices to make sandwiches with.
Anybody have any good recipes for leftover ham?
What about Cold Ham Pasta Salad Neesy? Does that interest you? If it does I can post the recipe.

I bought a 12 cup muffin pan this week but the 'cups' are square. Anyone (Neesy??) happen to see square paper liners for this pan in the West? Tried ebay (21 pounds with postage for 50 liners) but those were the only ones on the site.

Bit late, but I use left over ham in scalloped potatoes. Here, it’s a meal, not a side dish.

Since getting so sick in the summer, I am still working my way back to a normal diet. Doctor estimates 2 years, if ever. This has resulted in getting creative in the kitchen.
I love potato salad and pasta salads. But I cannot eat mayo, or miracle whip or anything like that. In desperation I tried Kraft Italian dressing with potatoes (skin on) and hard boiled egg. It was so good. I’m going to try pasta and tuna with it this weekend. I miss crunch though. I cannot eat any raw veggies. And only about 6 cooked veggies so far.
And speaking of tuna. Fish is one of the foods I can eat. I don’t like fish but I need variety. I tried canned tuna with nothing. It was dry yuck! So, I tried it with lemon. Lots of lemon. It was...not exactly good, but better. I think the Italian dressing is a game changer though. Lol

Chop an onion and blend it with Tuna, black pepper and salt. Then put it on two slices of toast or white bread. Put some sliced cherry tomatoes on top and cover everything with cheddar.
Put it in the oven at circa 300-320 °F.
It`s ready to be served when the cheese has melted.

Here's a link with mayo substitutes - hope this helps!

None of those work for me. (Raw veggies, dairy, and foods I’m allergic to.) But maybe others will enjoy. 🙂

And what about canned, cooked crushed tomatoes? Any limits on the amount of olive (or anything else) you can have? I might be able to think up some substitutions and recipes that may be useful to you. Simple, inexpensive things. 🙂

wolf I use garlic cooked. And surprisingly, tomato sauces and stewed tomatoes don’t bother me. Even Tostitos salsa. I have to be careful with oils. I can eat some. I usually use canola...it’s always been my favourite, and using limited it doesn’t bother me. I have not tried olives or any kind of pickle.

Good to know. 🙂 I'll think on it, and hopefully have somethings helpful to you soon.
For now right, garlic sweated in oil of your choice mixed in with Angel Hair pasta, has been a favorite dish of my son's. With only a bit of salt and pepper. Doesn't take too much oil to coat the pasta. You could add other things to liking.
I wonder....maybe canola or olive oil with some onion would be good with tuna? Stop it from being so bland and dry?
Simple roasted potato chunks, drizzled with oil and herbs of choice are good and easy.
That's off the top of my head, for now. Just wanted to lend a hand help out.🙂

I have an air fryer. When I could not tolerate any oil at all I started doing my potatoes with nothing but salt & pepper. Now I can add oil, but I choose not to.

Got it two years ago. Tried making french fries with it once and that turned out to be a disaster. They never cooked through and I kept them in there 3 times over what the instructions called for because they wouldn't cook, before I gave up scrapping the whole idea. The air fryer now sits on a cabinet in the breakfast room and was never used again after that failed attempt. It a pretty cool looking knickknack at this point and sits next to a daughter's Keurig she just had to have but never uses.

I cannot remember how long ago we got it but Andy uses it a lot - he likes to make french fries (he calls them 'chips') in it

neesy we have the same brand, but ours does not have the basket. We bought a basket separately, but it doesn’t fit in ours.

neesy we have the same brand, but ours does not have the basket. We bought a basket separately, but it doesn’t fit in ours. That's weird - it seemed ours didn't fit at first either but we managed to wiggle it in there - if you use the paddle it has a tendency to smash up some of the food
Not sure what to make for supper tonight - I sometimes feel like I'm running out of ideas
