After seeing it a few times, still haven't watched the DC yet though, I just can't help but feel this movie didn't get the love it deserves. The cast is solid as a stone, the writing is top notch, and Rose is just wicked, while Dan has so many inner demons that you can't help but want him to overcome them and win at the end, which he does in his own way. Usually sequels are inferior to the originals, but there are exceptions and Doctor Sleep is one of them. The Shining isn't bad but its Doctor Sleep that has actually made it better than it was, it in a way gave the Shining some of the depth it was missing by giving Jack more substance.
Mass merchandising, Neca and other others went ape shiet over Pennywise, there are so many Pennywise toys and stickers and lunchboxes, etc, and so on, Doctor Sleep got jack. I'd say Neca doesn't think a figure of Dan or Rose would sell because they are just human looking but they make figures of Marty McFly, and Funko makes figures of the Golden Girls. So I have no clue why they won't touch DS. I know Ewan didn't shoot them down, he had no issue with Hasbro doing SW figures of him.
There is one tiny flaw, wish Crow's death was a bit slower, he deserved to be just as badly tormented as Rose, I mean he was her right hand man. But gotta love how Dan took over Abra and played that mind game on him, didn't see that coming.
