What is up with that dude?
He is a televangelist who keeps asking people to 'plant a thousand dollar seed'. Who in their right mind is going to give this con artist that kind of money??

He's a known fraud and I'm surprised people give money to that scum. He will have to answer to God one day. He gives good, decent ministers a bad name. Shameful.

Doesn't he also do those commercials for that 'miracle water'? You know, the one if you drink it, you will get all that money. First time I saw it, I busted out laughing!
I don't trust any of them on TV. Seems all they want is money.

I don't have a problem with occasionally asking for money but Popoff is a phony and all he ever does is ask for money. He gives me the creeps. I don't like Joel Osteen, either. There are still good preachers (usually poor as dirt) that have good hearts and they go from town to town genuinely seeking souls that need Jesus. Not everyone believes in this gospel, I get that, but at least these few still preach what they believe without compromise or asking for money, money, money. It must make God sick to His stomach.

Whatever happened to Jimmy Swaggart? That was a screwed up mess! As far as I know he repented and eventually began a new church. That's one thing I find comforting...men will hold a grudge but God is willing to forgive any one who truly is sorry for what they've done and asks for forgiveness. That's not to say Swaggart won't have to pay the price for what he did. He caused many of his flock to lose faith and many lost trust in him. Personally, I think people shouldn't put ministers high up on a pedestal. They're human like us. It's not the first time a preacher fell and it won't be the last. Yes, they should be held to a higher standard but I believe they are eligible for just as much forgiveness as I am. Sorry, not sure why I wrote all that, Peg.

Here is Tammy Faye Bakker with Bozo the Clown (she was quite popular a few years back) - do you remember her and her husband Jim?

LOL...yep. Her husband went to prison. He was another one that got greedy. There is no shortage of bad examples. I just like to applaud the good examples, too, because they get lost in the noise and hubub. Wow, Tammy Faye and Pennywise. Beep Beep Richie!

I hope something I said didn't offend you. We are in total agreement about that scoundrel Popoff. I just like to give credit where it's due to the good ministers. As I was telling Neesy, they sometimes get lumped in with the charlatans.

Is that how it's phonetically said? Beautiful language.

I'm not sure that I am saying it right when I say it. I really wish I knew the language. I like to hear my friend, Keith, speak it.
