I totally forgot about this with the eye op and everything else. I've read it now and its a really good story. I dont think the twist in the end was surprising though. I had thought for a long time that was who the real culprit was. Havent read much Howard before. Some Conan story but thats all and i actually liked this better than that. One thing thats left a bit undecided is the pigeons. Why pigeons? Why not crows or some such birds? Why so many? Are each bird a representative of a soul? Did Howard have a thing against pigeons, totally understandable if so, or was it a random choice. Maybe it was a cool title? Pigeons from Hell are pretty unusual.

This story doesn't seem to have been as popular as others on the board ... Ah well, its more of an obscure story I guess. Why? Everyone who has posted said they liked the story. Plus, like wireman said, posts get added over time. Sometimes life gets in the way. I had the story read on Monday but on Wed I thought it was Tues and so that's why I missed Wed night. 😃 But last week, I didn't get Little Sisters read until the weekend after the discussion. Just happens sometimes!
