Yeah, not surprising; it was supposed to be three Rick films. They were in development for years and didn't happen. Its a shame because that's why the guy that plays Rick was written out of the show: so that he could go on and do these films.

Yes, they need viewers, but,
As much as I'd love him to return, I don't think he will. People forget he left the show. Rick already signed on for 3 movies. If he didn't want them, he wouldn't have signed on.
They haven't happened because Gimple has no idea what the f**k hes doing.
Agreed, and Gimple is a total dumbass. Frank Darabont made TWD wonderful, Gimple broke it. Yeah, Gimple wasn't great, but he still had good episodes, occasionally, when he was showrunning. The guys that came after him ... not so much.
I thought Gimple did a really good thing on FTWD when he first went over; the first two season of his tenure, and the new characters, were awesome. But after he left it got seriously bad.

Frank, how much of FTWD did you check out? I've watched til the middle of Season three, that was enough for me. Can't stand a single character in this show.

I was the same, but started checking it out again when Scott Gimple took over. He brought several characters from the main TWD show and the new characters he created and introduced were very good, in my opinion. He didn't keep many from the original four seasons or so.
But like all things TWD, after several good seasons it all goes to heck.

These new shows could perhaps be good, though.

Frank, I notice in the trailer of this new Daryl Dixon tv show that he's in France!? That begs the question ... how the heck did he get to France?
I know there's been small airplanes used in The Walking Dead, but none of those are getting you halfway around the world. You really need a Boeing type plane for that. Plus, I'm sure there are small planes that could make the trip, but they'd need massive amounts of fuel, no? Most planes from the USA and Canada end up stopping in Iceland to refuel, after all.
He could have gone by boat, I suppose ... but how could he get the fuel to get a commercial cruise going? Did he use a steam ship? If he did, then it probably took him about a month to get there still.
I am so confused.

Boat.
I don’t know how many different trailers for Daryl Dixon are out there, but the one I saw had a brief scene with some indication of that. But maybe I am mistaken.
That would not be an easy feat for the experienced let alone someone who has little or no experience. But who knows what has happened that may have changed that.

I saw this Trailer, too, wolfie. But it only shows some kind of lifeboat.
Don't know how long it takes to get from Virginia to France with a paddle.

Wolf, surely that's impossible. With the weather and all it would be impossible to get there in a boat, no? Plus, it would take months!? Where's he gonna store his supplies?

I love that there's an article dedicated to this. Yeah, I think the CRM taking him over is the most logical explanation. Its utter BS if they say he got there himself in a damn dingy!

If the CRM mentioned in the article is the org that took Rick and Gabriel, then yes, I could see them getting him there, by more advanced means.
It is not impossible, the Irish monks made the trip in currachs. Via Greenland, Nova Scotia and other stops along the Tundra and Northern Americas coastline.
If he didn’t get there by boat it will be interesting to find out what the hell he was doing out, in what appears to be the ocean, and landing on a shore. 😊

….and don’t forget what Captain Bly accomplished. Though he was an exceptional seamen.
Maybe they are not going to make a big deal out of how Daryl Dixon gets to France. Maybe they are just going to get him there, and get right to the story. 😊

I think I stopped with TWD at like season 8 or something. But have continued checking out Fear. Do we ever learn what the CRM are?

If that was a lifeboat like Commander osnafrank said, then Daryl could have gotten to France by ship or yacht.
Whatever the case may be, I think there very well may be at least one full episode devoted to his journey.
I’ll catch up on other posts later Edders. Really getting kind of tired right now, and the kids are home. You and everyone have a good night kiddo. 🙂

I haven’t found out what the CRM are exactly, but I’ve got my suspicions.
The last episode of the WD I saw was where that….Alpha…had left the heads all standing on pikes.
Don’t know what happened after that.
But I could definitely see Negan being turned loose to help fight her and the whisperers.
I would have loved to see HIM take HER out.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to catch up. I don’t watch anything on YouTube about the series. Just too much bullshit out there.
FTWD, I have not caught up on yet. Just haven’t gotten in the mood to.
I wasn’t too thrilled with how that series had progressed. But it wasn’t too bad.
Madison, Strand, Daniel, were the BEST . Nick and Alicia, I liked too. Couldn’t stand damn Celia, and I was glad to see how Madison dealt with her.
Daniel’s daughter Ophelia, Madison’s boyfriend and his son Chris, were all tedious P’sITA. Wastes of time, air and water.
Jenna Elfman and Garrett Dilahunt, were good. Liked them both alright.
Morgan was good when he showed up. Mo Collins and her brother ….
(guy from Galaxy Quest, I wonder how that actor ended up in a wheelchair!? 💔)
….were some comic relief. They were okay.
Killing Maddie and later Nick was the worst.
Madison was the best character, and I always wanted to see Strand get his drinkin’ buddy back.
Would have liked to have seen more of Michael Greyeyes, his character was good.
It was awful when they offed Maddie. You never actually saw her going down in that walker herd, and for quite a long time I wondered if she might have pulled a Glen, and escaped death, and later turn up somewhere unexpectedly. ( though I’m sure Kim Dickens didn’t want to be tied down in that role, and had other things to move onto)
Al was a good character. Loved that truck of hers! (I don’t care for Maggie Grace much, but was more impressed with her work as this character)
The last episode of FTWD I saw, was right after Al had been left behind and alive by the CRM soldier.
I think I may put that series on and catch up some today. It’s the only WD Series I have available on Hulu. And I have FTWD is the only WD spinoff series I’ve had access to.
