Lets hold off on this until I can get Frank to say if we are ok with this link
@osnafrank
The story was published in 1970 so it is possible that it's in the public domain but unlikely.
Frank, look at the link above and let us know if you're ok with it. Thanks.
You guys should read "Pigeons from Hell".

Thanks,kurben. I just read it....couldn't stop myself. It reminds me of another story....but I won't say anything else yet.🤐 So since we're not gonna read it for the group discussion, is it ok if I go ahead and say that it reminded me of {Spoiler} Gwendy's Button Box.

I'm late to comment, say sorry.
I did not remember this story at all, either. I thought it was ok though, it would make a good Twilight Zone/Creekside type episode. Quick 30 minute episode.
I think maybe if there had been more of an explanation as to why Fletcher was in the predicament he was in, it might have made us care more about him escaping. Maybe he could have daydreamed a little bit, after his hand got shocked, about his sister and why/how she got into trouble. And why he was out for revenge.
Not a favorite but not a complete clunker, either.

He was a reporter investigating them but the reason he was investigating them is because they killed his sister. But it was just a tiny little blurb, a little more explanation might have helped the reader's connection to Fletcher.

This story was essentially Steve exploring the idea of a Deus Ex Machina.
