NO SEATBELTS! Did you take it to the Drive In movies? Remember opening Come and beer bottle tops with the male ends of those old seat belts? I bet diobolic and wireman do! π.....as well as making chains from the old "pop tops" still found in the sands of Margaritaville! ππ I drank the cheap beer in cans back then. And I stepped on my share of the pop tops. snicker

That is beyond cool! ππ I never got to see Kiss in the 70's. My parents wouldn't go see them and didn't trust my older cousins to take me (buncha trouble-makers) so the closest I got was sticking fake tattoos all over myself, jumping on my bed and singing along loudly to Kiss Alive! and Alive II ....
Parents stop all the fun. My roommate was a member of the KISS Army. She turned me on to them. Did you sing into a hairbrush? We all sang into a hairbrush in front of the mirror!Yes, the hairbrush was always the microphone.π I still have all my Kiss Army stuff in the original envelope. My mom wrote a check for $5 which felt like a small fortune, and I had to wait MONTHS to get those pics and bios in the mail. Who remembers sending away for stuff from cereal boxes!? We ate tons of cereal ( I still love it! β€οΈ) and my Grandma was constantly βsending awayβ for Kelloggβs stuff from Battle Creek, Michigan. I just recently got rid of a Tony the Tiger bowl because his face wore off.π

The Crusin' Party Mobile... NO SEATBELTS! Did you take it to the Drive In movies? No seatbelts, no radio (although I did install an 8-Track), no Park, no reverse backup lights, and some steampunk type heater that you had to work all type of knobs. Occasionally to the drive through, but mostly to Beer Party's (Keggers was to high class a term for us hicks), concerts, and NJ to pick up beer because the drinking age was 18.

I still have a plastic Mr Peanut coin bank.

And I stepped on my share of the pop tops. LOL. Yup. Chevy Caprice with three on the tree seatbelts had the best ones for opening them. But mostly putting the edge of the bottle top on some stares and striking downward with your hand. At times still had to use one of these, because the cheap beer brands didn't have pop tops on their cans...

Also,my Kiss lunch box is standing proudly in a spare room in my house that's supposed to be an office. My husband has a LOT of old Star Trek & Star Wars books & toys from the 70's. I'll post some pics soon!

Best of times right there! Drinking age in Massachusetts and New York was 18 too!

I had the Bionic Woman doll. You had to roll up the fake skin on her arm to take out the bionic pieces! It always bothered me that the doll wasn't as pretty as Jamie Sommers was on the show.
