Paul-the-whiny-Starchild has been my favorite since I was 9 and realized that Gene Simmons wasn't a solo artist named "Kiss", as my cousins would have me believe.

Guess there's not a lot of KISS fans here.

Considering some of the Kiss fans I've known in my life, maybe we should thank our lucky stars it's just the two of us!

A friend of ours works for Martin Guitar which is located nearby. She is in quality control and production. Paul Stanley visited Martin recently to pick up a custom made guitar. She talked to him for a bit and she said he was one of the nicest guys she ever met.

Always liked Kiss, not wild about everything they've done but they're a good band.

Always liked Kiss, not wild about everything they've done but they're a good band. I’ve been a fan for 42 years and even I’m not wild about everything they’ve done.😄 But they were the band that really opened my eyes and ears to a lot of other great music and entertainment. Strangely, I can never tear myself away from them .... even though there are many better musicians ,my love for Kiss never goes away...kinda like gum on a shoe.🤔

Even on this board, no one loves Peter Criss.... Peter Criss doesn't even love Peter Criss. (Actually Peter Criss is my favorite Kiss drummer.)

Even on this board, no one loves Peter Criss.... He's not really all that great of a drummer ... more of Jazz player than Rock.

I'm getting from your descriptions of Paul and Gene that you are not a fan of current KISS?

Peter Criss doesn't even love Peter Criss. (Actually Peter Criss is my favorite Kiss drummer.) Ahem ... Eric Carr? Eric was fine as a replacement. I had no trouble accepting him as the new guy in 1980 (I was 13). But he never posed with a dagger or panthers or gave us any indication that he had a dark side. Too much of his personality was stifled by the powers that be (most likely Paul & Gene), so I never completely warmed up to him. I love the music, but I have to admit that the image was what got me into Kiss--the blood and fire and the fact that they scared the living hell out of me when I saw pictures like this.

I'm getting from your descriptions of Paul and Gene that you are not a fan of current KISS? Well....I kid, but deep down I love Paul and Gene. Kiss never would have made it without them. Tommy Thayer is probably a great guy--I just wish he didn't have to make a living imitating Ace Frehley. And it's pretty much the same with Eric Singer. We know from his time with Alice that he's capable of more than Kiss will allow him to do.

Bruce is probably mourning the death of Bob, still. Poor Bruce...I always liked that guy. "He's Radioactive (radioactive)..."
