Really liked this movie, and the soundtrack!...
Some have said that it is more of a 90 minute rock music video compilation due to all of the over the top rock songs, and the really MTV style the characters had. I felt it was just a solid and stylish vampire film with some excellent performances, as well as some great songs. The director wanted to follow up on the Lost Boys with a film called the Lost Girls but he got busy doing other things I guess, and then years later fans got two direct to video sequels that had Fieldman, and weren't that great. The thing, while I like Fieldman, that was one of those films where it was the entire cast that made it good, just Fieldman alone just wasn't enough to make the sequels worthwhile. ------ I agree with you on all of this. I remember when this movie first came out, and hit the big screen. I think it still holds up today. It was a stylish slick cool flick and a really good fresh take on the whole vampire thing. Sets, locations, wardrobe... everything about it was good in my opinion. FX were cutting edge at the time, and it has a really awesome cast, who all worked extremely well together. Some of it was hilarious, the Corey's really did great work in this one. Barnard Hughes as the grandfather was great, like always, he was a favorite actor of mine when I was a kid. I would have really liked to have seen much more of his character in this story. Gertz, Sutherland and Patric were hot, up and coming into their own at that time. Wiest and Hermann were excellent actors and very well placed in their roles. Winter and Wirth were still pretty much unknowns (especially Wirth), and didn't have huge parts, but were pretty much alright supporting coven members.
I liked the sound track an awful lot and especially loved the Doors music they used, and it's placement.
Yeah, it was unfortunate about the sequels, I had great hopes for it. Was so looking forward to seeing the brothers Edgar and Allan again.I still have the original soundtrack on cassette somewhere. I always said I'd get the cd once they remastered it but then I learned they rarely remaster soundtracks, but yet they remastered the Top Gun soundtrack which wasn't that great. ------ One of these days, I need to find the complete soundtrack on youtube and check it out. Never heard it, other than listening while watching the movie.

and really liked Danny Trejo and his added character in that one. Brad Douriff is always great.. I felt Zombie got a few things wrong with Halloween but overall, they were better than Halloween 7 and 8. Douriff is one of those actors who surprises me at times, I'm used to him as Chucky's voice but he's good in a lot of other stuff as well. Brad Dourif was quite young when he won his Oscar in 1975, I think it was. I've liked in him just about everything I've seen him in. "Aliens Resurrection", was a good one. He was great in his deeper more dramatic roles like the HBO series "Deadwood" and in the "Exorcist III" with George C. Scott. Both well worth checking out.

The sad thing, many just know him as the voice of Chucky. Someone mentioned how he'd play a good brother for Weaver in an upcoming film, and quite a few were like, "doubt Weaver would want to work with someone who just does the voice of a doll". Speaking of Chucky, Dourif's real daughter is Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky and she should be in the show, she's a pretty good actress, not as good as her father, but she can easily be the next Jamie Lee Curtis and use horror to propel herself to more mainstream genres.

Fiona. Yeah, I've seen her in a couple of things and liked her work, I think she'll keep getting better.

The show, if Syfy is still going forward with it, will give her a lot more momentum. Worse case scenario, she becomes a very popular scream queen and does a lot of solid work within the horror genre. It is a dominant genre, its just mainstream award shows rarely show it any respect, they act like its p**n or something. But I gave up on award shows years ago, they just want to look cutting edge so they'll give the oscar for best pic to a horrible pic just because they're trying to hard to be overly liberal. Don't get me wrong, not ripping in liberals, just don't like when things are forced.

My favourite scene is the one following this scene.
After this scene, he is walking through the park drinking benedryl through a straw, like a sippy cup. (I have had reactions very much like the one Hitch has in this scene.)

wolf if You haven’t watched it yet, give it a go. The whole first episode had us laughing so hard. I don’t remember the last time a new comedy had such a strong start.

Especially this scene. oh my stars and flamin' garters, annamarie 🤣 I'm watching epicsode 2 right now, it's getting so much more hilarious.....lol, Alan Tudyk is good. Glad to see Gary Farmer show up in this series. Really liked all of his work in the past. 🙂.....
...... "Smoke Signals" and "Dead Man" are two of his (Gary Farmer) movies. "Pow wow highway" too.
Alan Tudyk in "I Robot" as Sonny was an excellent performance. And he was very good in "28 days" and most certainly "A knight's tale".....

More of Alan Tudyk here....couldn't find his best scenes in 'a knight's tale'.
Loved his performance in this too....rivals Marvin in both the renditions of 'Hitchhikers guide...'.....

You need to take care of yourself and ask for help when you need it too, bub.
(tear-assing around the Pocono's, playing chicken with deer and taking on monster snow drifts in a brand new Egar suit and all ð¤¨)
I'm almost starting to feel good enough again, to man-handle your butt into the penalty box.ð¤¨ð LOL. Meh, words to live by... I'm thinking of having them tattooed to my a§§. Glad you're feeling better though. But I'd hold off on man-handling my butt into the penalty box. That's a heavy lift. ....lol, don't make me go all 'highlander' on you now,😆😉 isn't going ' penalty box keeper- bounty hunter- badwolf- gunslinger' enough!? Jackingus over to the favorite scene's thread now. 😄😉....(oh it's late, I need to curl up with my pillow and go to sleep. see you guys in the morning...sometime. 🙂).....

Annamarie, I love the Sheriff too. LOL....he just ain't right in all the right ways. 😆😂😉 Really getting a kick out of 'the resident's' growing relationship with 'the kid', lol that is turning into a FUN dynamic! 😂 I'm liking the drama and more serious side storylines as well. 🙂

I tell you what, I don't like Seth McFarlane, and I don't like his show Family Guy at all, but I got to give MacFarlane credit where credit is due. He does have a great singing voice and is very talented with all of his characters he does. 🙂.....
