We don't have many of them around here anymore. And the ones you can find don't seem to have anything better than the grocery store. I used to be able to get good Georgia peaches when they were in season at produce stands but I haven't seen any for a few years. You can find peaches called Georgia peaches but they are not the Georgia peaches I remember. I think someone is lying.
Agree about not many stands anymore. I miss the south Jersey tomatoes. No bitterness to them.

Agree about not many stands anymore. I miss the south Jersey tomatoes. No bitterness to them. If you can find them, try Cherokee Purple tomatoes. No acid to them at all, and they taste so good!

Those Cherokee purple are really good tomatoes Sunshine! One year I ordered some of their seeds from "The Pepper Gal" in Florida, and we loved them. (I wonder if spideyman is familiar with that seed company.) They have a wide selection of all kinds of capsicums, as well as many other heirloom vegetables and a nice collection of herbs. Next year I really want to start growing my own things again. I hope I will be able to make time to do so. We got some beautiful watermelons and tomatoes at our farmers market the other day. Going to be eating some of them tonight.
