Almost forgot to mention, one of my older brother’s first friends from when we were kids, tested positive last week. Apparently he had a few bad and scary days last week, but is feeling better over the weekend.
Hoping he continues to improve.

Read an article that some long-haulers that decided to get the vaccine are saying it has helped with their symptoms. 👍

Today our premier announced that following spring break, which is this week, all public schools in Ontario will be switched to remote learning only.
To late to prevent the scare my son’s family is going through, but it’s been 11 days since her known contact and she’s still symptom free, so that’s good.
Currently in Ontario, our daily positive cases is the highest it has ever been. Hospitals are transferring patients, putting up army type mobile hospitals, cancelling surgeries. Basically doing all the things the experts said would be required around this time if things kept going in the direction they were heading.

Out on the street protesting the curfew and smashing store windows - wow

Took a Covid test this morning. The result was negative. Thats a relief. Its just an ordinary cold. Even if coughing and sore throat isn't exactly fun its good to know.

I missed that neesy
I seem to try to avoid the news, it’s just too depressing. I deleted the rest of my response. To me, it’s health, but maybe someone here would consider it political. See mods....I’m trying to follow the rules. 😁

See mods....I’m trying to follow the rules. 😁 You're right - it doesn't help to dwell on stupid behaviour - and I appreciate it (that you're following the rules)
I used to go to Quebec quite a bit back in the 80s and they do seem to have a unique way of life - my Dad was French too so I can appreciate the culture.
Health is important for sure - you can be rich and/or famous but if you don't have good health then what do those other things matter? Wow - I am getting all philosophical here - must be time for a cup of coffee
Did I tell you Andy will be getting his vaccination on April 23rd?

My husband and I got our first dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. It made me very tired last night. Today we both have just sore arms from the injection site. No ill effects.

Thanks neesy ! We were very nervous about going. And the process was not well managed at Walgreens... First check in with the EMT/Fireman at the front of the store. I showed him the QR code that the State Vaccination system sent me. He says, I don't need that! I just need your ID. Then, he checks me in and gives my my 2nd appt. He says, you can go... I asked, Go where? Where are the shots given? Oh back of the store, at the pharmacy he says. So, I follow instructions and stand on a circle near the pharmacy. Another person says, you have to check in. I'm not thrilled to have to dig out my ID again and my insurance card ( WTH?) and they don't want the QR code either. But here, fill out a paper form with a pen that who knows has touched it on a clipboard from whose filthy hands? And then sit and wait. Honestly- this was a poorly designed process! Glad that I carry hand sanitizer in mu coat pocket. The shot was done in less than 1 minute, but it took an hour to go through the process. And don't get me started on the mess of the On Line system to register and find an appointment. Ridiculous. It should have been managed by Ticketmaster. They know how to sell tickets to an event.

That comment about Ticketmaster was funny snicker
Andy has to go downtown to a big convention centre to get his (but they will at least give him a voucher for free parking so that's pretty good)
I'm just going to stay home as I am not in a big rush to get my shot yet

So many people are scared to get the AZ, and then people 50-55 are begging for it and can’t get it. Damn things are going to expire. We have appointments booked to get our second shot, and I’m just scared Ford is going to prefer to throw out expired shots rather than allow people to get the second shot during the proper time.
My province is such a hot mess.
Friend in another province just tested positive. He lives alone, so bubbles with the family of one of his kids. That entire family tested positive....except the teenage son. The teen daughters are positive.

Good luck with your second appointment annamarie
