There's a story out that says Nick Sabin, coach of Alabama has tested positive for covid a second time. He had it in October so I don;t know if this is a false positive or if you can actually get it twice within that short of a time.

He wouldn’t be the first to get it twice in a short time. Actually, if you think about it, anyone that has had it twice, it’s a short time. Less than a year.

I think that happens sometimes. Just my own opinion. Because, with a mild case, people don’t necessarily get retested afterwards to see if they test negative.

Only two days left for a haircut.
Hard Lockdown as of Wednesday.
Trade, except for shops for daily needs, will be closed from 16 December to 10 January. Significant contact restrictions at schools and day-care centres will apply during the same period. For the days from 24 to 26 December, meetings with 5 persons plus children up to 14 years of age in the closest family circle" are permitted. For New Year's Eve and New Year's Day there is a nationwide ban on the presence and assembly of fireworks. The sale of fireworks is generally prohibited this year.
The quietest New Year's Eve ever.

Still do not understand why fans are not allowed to return to football games, even when socially distanced.

Still do not understand why fans are not allowed to return to football games, even when socially distanced. Makes no sense since crowd size is easily managed.

First vaccinations have been released. Excellent that they have a vaccination, usually these things take years.

First vaccinations have been released. Excellent that they have a vaccination, usually these things take years. I'm hearing that the vaccine should be available to most of us by June. That's pretty incredible.
Side note - Funny difference between watching the BBC news and PBS news. What we call a shot in the US, the BBC calls a jab. I had to hear jabs on the BBC a few times before I realized what they were talking about. "Everybody should be able to get their jabs within 6 months."

Yeah, the UK is weird, US shot sounds better. I get that when I watch US TV shows, "what the heck are these people on about?"

Have you heard anything about the new strain of CV-19 in the UK being resistant to the vaccine? I had heard of that. Honestly, the fact that there is another strain isn't surprising, considering how far the virus has travelled.

This article says that its something that should not be worried about, it won't be any worse than the usual COVID. It may require an amended vaccine though.
