2019. As another poster has stated I am just happy to see another year coming. And that's all I'm going to say about that. (Thanks Forrest). My girl got a new job nearly doubling her salary for less work. Oldest son continues to climb ladder in company where he works. Youngest son is technically a junior in college after 1 1/2 years (Has made all A's except for one high B first semester freshman year). All are sleeping under my roof as I type this, Been very loud last day or so. Everyone is healthy including me. All in all been a good one personally.
As far as Weekend Playground. Drop the aw shucks routine and take the praise and thanks osnafrank. I know it ain't easy looking after this thing (not to mention the lunatics, like myself, who occasionally inhabit it).
Job well done sir.
Thank you and wish you much more in coming year.

I am always happy to shed the old and bring on the new. 2019 (19!!) felt a little status quo. A good year for taking a deep breath and assessing the situation and discovering some things need to change. Be looking for me to make some major upheavals. I don't know what they will be, but I am not going to keep on keeping on. I want to retire in 5 years. I need some major money in my 401(k). I'll be the best wife the Ogre could wish for, and the happiest grandmommy - if only I could just mind the house, the kids, the grand kids (if I ever get any), and the critters.
cat oh the grandbabies!! I already have name suggestions for mine. Somebody give me a warm bundle of joy to pin hopes for the future on!! (Leo & Nina)
Good things: our son is college bound. He took a year to figure it out and I think he's made a wise choice. Now I need a windfall or a new job to bring in the bucks so he's not swimming in student loan debt. (big changes coming, yessir!) His girlfriend is smart and strong. Whew. He's the one who's like me - but smarter. The girls are like the Ogre. I've been worried about him but I think he's got it now.
@notaro - I'm with you on the home improvement front. We've been in this house 17 years. It's time to get it ready to sell. The doors in the master bedroom are 3 different colors. We need wood floors. Scrape the ceilings. Get her dressed up fancy - it's almost time to sell!! Trim the tress, declutter - I'm moving to Percy Priest Lake or Pickwick.
osnafrank. thank you for opening this board. Like Mother Abigail, you've drawn us. More will come. Can you all believe in 6 months the SKMB will be closed and gone?
2020 - there's good things coming! The Dodge City Kon - for one good thing!

Well I am really thankful for this Weekend Playground and to Frank for all his hard work and constantly upgrading it. (LOVE the snow falling on the screen, Frank)
Think I am getting a bit better at picture taking. For me, it's really enjoyable walking around the city or taking the bus to other areas of the Okanagan looking for those great shots. Whether it be scenery, flowers or an animal or two.
Winter is here and I'm very thankful. It's my favourite time of year and the more snow the better. This year I was able to catch up with purchasing SK hardcovers,. only missing one now. Even found a few first editions I never thought I would own. All in all it was a pretty good year. It's uplifting to key into this MB. I enjoy reading your posts, your jokes, your opinions and your thoughts. It's a smile for the day. Enjoy the holidays everyone. Have fun and be safe.
Hey @alexandra - ditto about this Board
Which hardcover are you missing? Maybe someone on the Board could trade one with you for the missing one or even send it as a gift
Hey Neesy The only one I am missing is Hearts in Suspension. I think I have to order that one from University of Maine.

They had that at the King Kon in Maine summer of 2018 facepalm
I am friends with Stacy270 - I wonder if she could help me get that one? She lives in Maine

I had no idea that book was so popular - I looked at it but it had a lot of other stories in it from people who knew Steve way back when so I decided not to get it.
