I've been tied up so not getting much reading in right now. I'm going to take a look at it eventually, and the book is always better, right? Hope you are well.

Just my typical wacky self. I watched The Irishman on Netflix on Thanksgiving. It was a great story, but in the beginning I had an issue with trying to get around Deniro and Pesce playing their younger selves. Pacino was ok, because he was playing an older Hoffa. But the other two took a little while for me to get into.

Checked it out when it premiered on Netflix. I enjoyed it very much, and as adaptations go, it was very good. Netflix has generally been very kind to Stephen King's works. I wish that other horror authors would get the same exposure. Robert McCammon needs love too, Netflix!

Great King / Joe Hill story. Has anyone else seen this as of yet? I haven't read the novella nor seen the movie, but I Wiki'd the story earlier and am interested in both reading and watching. It seems reminiscent of some of my favorite sK stories.

Honestly, I am really surprised you haven't seen it yet.
Definitely worth a view.

Yeah, I meant to watch it and then I got distracted by Locke and Key....and then I just forgot. I also want to watch Horns, speaking of Joe Hill. An ad for it popped up on Roku not too long ago.I can’t remember if it’s on Netflix.

Ya know, I have not even read Horns yet. I like Joe's stuff, but for some reason I didn't rush out to get this book. I will get around to it. Someday. LOL

Oh, I haven’t read it either. My copy of Heart Shaped Box has a preview of Horns and that was enough to make me curious about the movie. Well, that plus the fact that “Harry Potter” plays the main character.🤔 I’m tempted to buy a copy of Horns , but as you know, I’m up to my eyeballs in unread books over here. I’m trying to hold back on buying any more.

Ok, so as I said up there ^....I finally watched In the Tall Grass last night. Wow. I'm not sure what I expected, but whatever it was, this was better! I recognized Laysla De Oliveira right away , from Locke & Key. I really like her -- And man...where did they find that little boy who played Tobin?! He has one of those faces that's cute, but creepy at the same time. I thought he was one of the better child actors I've seen lately--better than the little guy in L&K. I don't know how to use that fancy "spoiler" button,so I'll just do this the ld school way. ****************************SPOILER ALERT!!******************************** ***************************Don't read this part if you haven't watched the movie yet!***************** I could tell very early on that something was up with Ross. I'm not sure if the audience was supposed yo pick up on that or not, but I guessed he was gonna go all crazy and hurt people. I liked that Travis was the one who sacrificed himself and saved Becky by freeing Tobin. It was a really interesting twist at the end there and makes you wonder--does Travis get to be a Dad after all since he never had to go into the grass to save Becky if she & Cal never went in there in the first place??
