Yap, it seems Lance doesn't matter anymore. Do you know a guy called Dan Orlovsky ? (T.Orlowski was a German P*rn Star back in the days btw. )
It seems as he has a very low opinion of Fields. Dan Orlovsky is currently an ESPN analyst and was a journeyman QB on a number of teams but never played much except for one year. He never was a household name. He seems to feel Fields doesn’t have a very good work ethic. I’ve heard that about Fields before during his college years. Even though Ohio State has been a powerhouse in college football, their QB's don't seem to fare too well when reaching the NFL. Thankee Dio.
I'll do some research on Fields tomorrow.
Hey, I've heard that Brian Hoyer visited the Big Apple.nypost.com/2021/04/08/brian-hoyer-visiting-jets-as-potential-veteran-signing/

A Strange Season might be building for the Draft. Now there’s talk of Washington and New England moving up in the Draft to get Lance and Fields. Why all of a sudden did those two QB’s suddenly move up in the draft discussions? Might give San Francisco pause to think.
1. Jaguars – QB Trevor Lawrence 2. Jets – QB Zach Wilson 3. 49ers (via MIA) - QB Mac Jones 4. Washington Football Team (via ATL) - QB Trey Lance
5. Patriots (via CAR)- QB Justin Fields
Those are the only really good QB's slated in the draft and they might go in the 1-5 spots of the Draft.

I've just read that Ronald Blair is back.
Pretty cool if he's fit enough. He enters a defensive line room that needs help on the edges.
@diobolic What do you think about Bennet Jackson and Corey Levin ?

Don't know much about Jackson other than I believe he was on the Jet's practice squad last 2 years. Corey Levin was drafted in 2017 and the Jets will be his 5th team in 5 years. Not very hopeful with both these signings. facepalm

New dynamics in Draft Day. The Patriots traded up to the number 4 spot, right behind the 49ers, and are expected to go after Trey Lance. That guy has been up and down the depth chart... and now expected to go as the 4th pick? I wonder what New England sees in him?

I have read 49ers are signing former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Arden Key. And i have read about the Onside kick adjustment, didn't know that.

I hope the Jets new head coach addresses their serious cornerback needs, or it will be another dismal year with teams scoring against them left and right. I know Saleh is probably keen on Richard Sherman from his time with SF, but his recent injuries are a lot to be concerned about.
And I was wrong earlier. The Patriots didn't trade down to the 4th pick. There was just a lot of speculation that they might, but now doubtful because they won't offer enough to Atlanta for the 4th spot as the Falcons also could use a QB. Now the talk is the Patriots might make a trade with the cowboys in order to get a quality QB that should still be available at the 10th pick.

Reading the 2021 all trades mock article on ESPN right now.
Quick Question: What does AY/A+ mean ?
"The only quarterbacks in Jets history to post more than two seasons with an AY/A+ of 100 or more ...."
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. AY/A - adjusted yards per passing attempt: (pass yards + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(interceptions thrown))/(passing attempts). This stat was introduced, and the reasoning behind it thoroughly explained in a book called The Hidden Game of Football, by Bob Carroll, Pete Palmer, and John Thorn. Note that we are now using 20 yards per TD instead of 10, because of research by Chase Stuart

LOL... Too technical for me.

So Frank, which QB would you want to see San Francisco pick at the 3rd spot in the Draft: Trey Lance, Justin Fields or Mac Jones?

After all my research i want Lance. Very athletic and he's a good decision maker.
And he’s very raw, which means that Shanahan can develop him exactly how he wants to. Mac and Fields all have learned specific techniques to help them succeed in college.

Lance is the type of QB that fits what the NFL is evolving towards. Ability to run the play action at a high level. Good decision-maker and mobility... able to stand in the pocket and throw it or get out of the pocket and be a threat running the ball or take a deep shot down the field.

He has a skill set that’ll be dynamic in the niners offense . I’m really hopeful we draft him.

What do you think of Zach Wilson ? I like his instinctive quarterback abilities, and he's accurate and resilient. What I don’t like is he can be a gunslinger at times and force too many questionable throws. He might have been able to get away with it at BYU and their opponents but won't get away with it in the NFL... they're just too good. And sorry to say but once the Jets pick him an ominous dark cloud will descend directly upon him, and bad luck will overtake him.

Maybe it's judging a book by it's cover, i don't know.

Maybe it's judging a book by it's cover, i don't know. It's true about Gotham. If you want to be loved, the NY Jets are not the team to be on. They NY newspapers savage the Jets, and their fans are savage against the Jets. Nobody loves the Jets.
Here is a map of northeast US showing the team with the most fans in every county. If you notice, there isn't a single county for the Jets.

So Frank, it's pretty apparent both our teams are going with QBs with the their first pick, have you given any thought into the second pick? There are a bunch of mock drafts out there.
The Jets get another first round pick. Their biggest need is at cornerback. But their offensive front line also sucked last year and if they want to protect their QB of the future they better beef up that line. Most forecasters are predicting they will go with CB in Caleb Farley, Greg Newsome, or Asante Samuel Jr., if available. But I think if Alijah Vera-Tucker is still there, they should go that way. He could play both Tackle or Guard in the NFL. And address CB later or see who is available on the market or in a trade.
