one of my all time favorite songs is:
"Plush" -Stone Temple Pilots-
theres a line that i thought was "......when the dogs begin to smell her, will she STAND alone..." the actual line is ".....will she SMELL alone..." (i prefer my mistaken verb in that one)
that song has sometimes reminded me of Flagg and Nadine in the Stand, and their situation.

.....just watched "maryjanes last dance" official vid........i think ineed to take a closer look the lyrics
.....my son pointed out 2 me that "brown sugar" needs 2b revisited as well
what do you think ? I don't get why people think Brown Sugar is about heroin, the lyrics are pretty apparent it's about a slave owner having an affair with a slave back during those times

......another line in this song I couldn't quite make out is, ".....where you goin' with the mask I found...." Still ponder what that could mean and be applied to. I still think of it as, ".....where you goin' with the Master Plan....." Both, the actual lyrics and the lyrics I thought Weiland could be singing, work for me.

I really like a lot of Orville Peck's music. My favorite is "Dead Of Night". One of his albums is called "Pony". In "Dead Of Night", he sings ".....see the boys as they walk on by...." Until I saw a lyric vid, I thought he was singing, ".....see the ponies as they walk on by.....", Lol. I like that song a lot, and I think it could be about a lot of different things and situations. Orville Peck still one of your favorite new things, Steffen ? He's pretty good at what he does!

Ha ha ha. Yeah, his stuff ain't bad at all. Been a while since I've listened to his stuff though. I'm listening a lot to 100.3 WKIT FM. It keeps me in touch with a lot of great new rock bands that I wouldn't hear otherwise.

Simple rule: name a song you like, but you don't know the words to, OR know the words but have no idea what they mean. If you think you know what the song may be about, feel free to share your insights! I'll start: Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues,I know most of the words. No IDEA what its about. Great tune anyway. I'm seeing some similarities in these music vids, wonder if Bob inspired INXS.

I think it's fair to conclude that Bob influenced everyone

I just recently realized that I was singing Back in the USSR wrong
I used to say "The Uruguaian girls really knock me out; they leave the West behind"
Then I found out it's supposed to be Ukraine girls facepalm - I do have a pretty good grasp of geography so I don't know why I got this wrong

When I was younger and I heard the expression "To make ends meet" I thought it was some type of meat (like sausage) i.e. "To make ends meat"

That is HILARIOUS! I love these mistakes we make with hte words. And sometimes I wonder if the artist takes the clarity of their singing into account when composing the song or not. Maybe they just consider the words to be a medium for their voice which they think of more as another instrument.

Songs I love but can't understand....oh my goodness, there are so many.
Let's start with this one. I've been listening to it since I was 10, and I still don't know what the heck is going on....I just shout out nonsense, like "She leeelaa and-a hope she unda-sta-hand" ......

Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting - Elton John
My Elton pick would have to be Bennie and the Jets.
That whole G Damn song is one big mumble.
"Hey kidsh! Rowlin tame whosh she tawin fonah lash sheh la da la da osh whenn. Something something stick arounddddd!"
I believe these are actual lyrics...
