Finished my re-read of The Long Walk. Jeezly Crow, I forgot how it ended (haven't read it in over fifteen years).
As absolutely bleak as it was, there was a slight bright spot. It held my attention until the end. I haven't finished a book in many months and it was scaring me. I've started over half a dozen and lost interest. At least I know that the right book at the right time is the the key.

May I suggest: The Ten Thousand Doors of January Novel by Alix E. Harrow
The Ten Thousand Doors of January is an interesting mix of fantasy, adventure, romance and historical fiction. At its heart it is a coming of age story, a story about a young lady discovering who she is and her place in the world, or perhaps I should say worlds.

Picked up my copy of Poe's works, while I was reorganizing the office the other day, and decided to take a break. Reread The Masque Of The Red Death and quite a few of his poems. Still need to get in the frame of mind, and make the time, to read Heart Shaped Box.
.....still checking things off my 'to do lists'.

I'm trying to finish Run Away by Harlan Coben. It's a real page turner. I literally can't put it down. Then after I finish it I will start If It Bleeds.

I Finish Christine now Reading one Called Carrie...I like this Story alot but I think Ik what Going to Happen His first really successful book I think once it was made into a movie that helped him a lot; Now look at him - so many years later and so many good stories I was all geared up to start the dead zone today, then this arrived.
If It Bleeds - I still need to get that one!

Yeah - that one was good (but now that you mention it, I've forgotten how it ended too) facepalm I'm trying to finish Run Away by Harlan Coben. It's a real page turner. I literally can't put it down. Then after I finish it I will start If It Bleeds. Wow - another lucky reader - I need to get this one soon (but I don't normally order much online, except bath bombs from Lush)
Hope you enjoy this one - it's a bit "science fictiony" but I thought it was pretty good. Apparently he hung out with some cops for awhile to get the feel of the story

That movie was on one of the movie channels tonight so I taped it (Firestarter)
I am reading The Eyes of the Dragon which is like an old fashioned fairy tale in some ways but also has some Dark Tower references - I think you would like it!
There is a King, an evil wizard etc. I like the way the story is told.

Finished up The Chill by Scott Carson aka Michael Koryta. It was another outstanding Michael Koryta thriller that I learned a few things from. Michael Koryta manages to educate you about the subject matter while keeping the suspense high.

Found a Baldyacci Book, "Memory Man". Hope this is a good one. The last two Baldacci books i have read were very disappointing.

This was the first collection (IIRC) that we read for the original reading and discussion group that VultureLvr started 7 or 8 (?) years ago on the SKMB. Great stories for a group read. Have fun!

I started reading Splinter Cell by Tom Clancy (yet written by a completely different guy - sigh). Realized quickly that it's definitely not my thing.
Started All By Myself, Alone by Mary Higgins Clark. We shall see...

Well, if you see an object in the sky, and for whatever reason you cannot identify exactly what it is, you can say it is an Unidentified Flying Object.
