Back at home now.
So far,it's all quiet, so the driving range is closed. Stay tuned.
Hey Frank - hope you have a nice long weekend!

Big R.I.P. to the chewed up Cardinal I found deceased on my porch this morning as I came back from a walk, my cats strike again.
Also found a paw patrol toy covered in dirt and mud sitting next to a sewer drain, I don't know why, but I picked it up and tried to wash the mud off it when I got home, now I just have a somewhat scrubbed off, paint scratched figurine of a kids show character sitting in my house. Maybe my cats will enjoy it.

Trying to decide what to do about the ceiling problem in the bathroom on the main floor.
Andy went up into the attic yesterday and looked around a bit; it's a tight squeeze so good thing he is skinny!
Fingers crossed we can find a good affordable solution that doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Dang it, I got a paper cut. That hasn't happened in a really long time.
....hmmm......I wonder if Frank ever found out if he has gotten milk from the same cow or not?
Nope. Not yet.
If he did he would come here IMMEDIATELY and let us know! smilie_wut_086

Finally some new caterpillars arrived in my garden after we replanted the milkweed they eat (the original milkweed happened to be placed right next to a bird feeder because it did not occur to my mom that was not a smart idea, and the first batch of pillars ended up going to the great cocoon in the sky when the birds discovered their food came with sides)

Has someone spotted the cicadas infestation yet ? Not here. But I tell you what, every evening and night (when it hasn't been raining) in my back yard there are MORE lightning bugs/fireflies than I have seen around here in YEARS! BUNCHES. It's a good thing, I've missed them and am so glad to see them back. Been watching them with dinner at night.

nothing like reading a short story from 1935 and the characters forget what date it is while taking a car ride so they have to stop and ask a stranger if he knows

By the way I liked those pics of the Monarch caterpillars - we have some swamp milkweed growing in our garden right now
(It's a variety you often find in the prairies)

“The Hedge” by Alfred Tooke, it’s like only 3-5 pages long, not anything amazing.

My random thought is that I need to get on here earlier in the day due to the time difference between here and Germany
