Hi - are we allowed to vent here? I could just post a pretty pic or something funny but honestly I am a bit upset and not sure what to do. I got up and started to run a bath, planning to hit the Weight Watchers meeting at 10 a.m. Andy made a pretty unhelpful comment which hurt my feelings and made me sort of "pissed off" so instead of going, I just went downstairs, ate two blueberry waffles with maple syrup and had some left over mashed potatoes fried in a cast iron frying pan with butter. Not exactly Weight Watchers material. I know I am overweight at the moment - we are not talking obese or anything but I had to buy one size up yesterday when at the store to get some shorts or capri pants. Andy pumped up the tires on my bike so I can get out there and exercise, or even ride the bike to the HSC Fitness Centre and work out, whereas before I used to drive my car to get there Well, enough whining and complaining. Sorry - just had to get some stuff off my chest and the SKMB is closed. He goes back up North on Tuesday so then it will just be me and Josh. I hope to get back on track. Yesterday I bought some salad and fresh strawberries. Plus, once Andy is gone we will go back to drinking 1% milk (Andy prefers the homogenized or 3.25% milk). Today I plan to go to the library for a while, plant some tomato plants outside on the deck and read a bit. Still reading a couple of books from the library. I bought The Outsider book but will wait until Andy is gone before starting it, as I heard it is hard to put down. Love and Green Lights to all! - Happy Saturday ((( neesy))) Of course we can vent here. Hope you feel better right now June, 9th is Donald Duck Day its World Gin Day and its Knit in Public Day

(((Neesy))) Sorry that you got your feelings hurt! I hope Andy was apologetic after. It is hard to keep on track with eating healthy sometimes. Don't beat yourself up about it and just try to do better the rest of the day. I am doing the same. Hang in there!

Hi Frank and doyoulove19; He could see I was avoiding him so next thing you know he starting calling me Honey anyway we seemed to have sorted it out then went to the garden centre to get some marigolds; if you put them around the tomatoes it keeps the bugs away Time to go start the beef stew now; Josh is out at a movie with two girls so he will most likely eat the stew reheated later after suppertime, Thanks for the kind thoughts! Love and Green Lights to all! - Happy Saturday Neesy-- I am sorry Andy was unkind to you. Much has changed recently in your life. I guess I am the elder of the MB, so I'll just throw a few things out there. Retirement requires adjustments. you went from a daily routine and activity, to one of leisure. You had fun experimenting with recipes and finding new interests. It is never kind to speak of ones looks, or weight. No one has the right to judge. As you move forward, do not think of diets, think instead of lifestyle changes. Slow and steady wins the race. The older we get, the harder it is. Gardening, the gym, even a simple walk. Enjoy life, allow for only positives. Do things you want to do now. And as for clothes size, I know you are in Canada, but be assured in the states size varies from one name brand to another. Fit is what counts. Do not worry about size, instead say look, that pair of jean is more comfortable--
I know you will love The Outsider. SK outdid himself for sure. Sending you love and only green lights!!

Hi there Tet-mates,
Just making some spare ribs in the oven - Andy gave me his recipe and they are cooking slowly so they will be nice and tender. He's enjoying the sun on the deck as they don't have a lot of that up North yet at this time of the year. He's here for two more nights then leaves for the airport on Tuesday the 12th. It has been a nice break for him.
So maybe tomorrow we'll have a few more on here, as it is a day off for Ms. Mod on the SKMB. I would be on here more often but I don't want to spend TOO much time on the computer at the moment.
Good night for now - have a good one!

Hi there - it's that day again - Monday! I am actually feeling pretty good - planning to try out the bicycle in our garage - it's all ready to go - tires are pumped up and I have a bike helmet. It even has these cool skull thingies (that thing you put over the place where the air goes in the tire - whatever that is called). Only thing missing is a little bell to warn people I'm coming up behind them.
We are not supposed to drive on the sidewalk but every now and then it gets dangerous on the road, so I'll get up on the sidewalk occasionally. I hate it when a bike rider comes up behind me without any warning, so if I have to do that I'll call out "coming up behind you!" just to let them know.
Maybe I should ride to the bike shop and purchase a warning bell to put on the handlebars.
I hope everyone has a great Monday! Love and Green Lights ♥
Hey Frank - look! That's you on the left and me on the right! ☺

Have fun biking, neesy! I’ve been dying to give my bike a go too this year, now that I am living next to a pretty and safe bike path. I have to get it tuned up, though, because whenever I hit the brakes, they make a loud squeal that’s really embarrassing.
