@wayoftheredpanda - I was thinking that - how horrible it was, but it was also a reminder of how blessed I am and how thankful I need to be for my boring same old same old life. I don't need a thing - well, a continual supply of good books and wine, but other than that, I'm good all around.
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. We left our 17 year old son here to take care of house and dogs ( his choice, he could have gone with us) he had a Friendsgiving - and there are pennies all over the house and it seems there was a fire in the fire pit and there are 'smores fixings all over. I think they had fun. I'm not sure why the pennies everywhere, but I'm glad he had fun. I wouldn't have been able to sleep if I had known there was going to be a fire in it the fire pit.
neesy - your bread!! I need to learn how to make bread. Every time I go to the grocery store I stand in front of the kitchen gadgets section wondering what I need - and end up coming home with butcher's string or a splatter screen, when what I keep forgetting is the thermometer to check my water temp for the yeast. I'll remember some day. Warm bread with butter is the best.
pegasus216 - I know!! I loved that parade back in the day when it was decorated floats and random people. I lost interest after it became a celebrity showdown. Youtube some old parades for the kids - they won't believe that was actual entertainment for us.
Sundrop - I am too lazy to go search, but I saw somewhere about your Christmas decorating day with the muchkin - sounds so nice! I think I love cheeseballs better than popcorn. I've never seen a Tuna Christmas, but I'm going to check it out. We watch A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. Also, for me anyway, The Godfather is a Christmas movie. That's a story for another day. We haven't decorated yet, but we've got until Dec 8th. Our youngest has a Christmas party and it's our goal to be decorated by then! Dino nuggets and Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookies, but it works!
spideyman We got new tennis balls and bones from the butcher for the dogs today. They are wiped out from chewing and chasing. It's a good life.
All y'all - peace and love to you!
