Last night I watched three episodes of Broadchurch, back to back. It's the closest I've gotten to "binging" (something I try to avoid) in a very long time. At this rate I'm going to be done with Season 1 by early next week!

From Part 1+2
I wasn't sure what to expect, but i can say that I will surely be here for the entire season.
It's different and creepy ,feels like a Stephen King type show.

Having finished Broadchurch, I've moved on to Casanova. It's interesting to see my mad Scotsman just before he became the world's most famous time traveler. Nor is that the only interesting part...

I got the DVD from another library, wolf. Our system covers most of the state of Georgia and if you're a library member you can get stuff from other libraries to borrow. Also, I think Casanova might be available on Freevee, an IMDB app. It's also on several Prime services but they all seem to be in Latin America. I haven't seen either of the other versions (yet) so it would be hard for me to draw a comparison.
Understood. Sorry, it won't happen again.

I've just started House of the Dragon and no, I'm not just watching it for Matt Smith. I've been a fan of GRRM's books since before they were ever a TV series.
I was mighty impressed by Episode 2 last night. No violence, no nudity, no sex, (almost) no swearing. Just good plot development. It does my old heart a world of good to see showrunners who remember this is possible.
I'm curious about The Last of Us, which I see is getting heavy advertising. I never played the game but have heard good things about it. Has anyone checked it out yet?

We watched Signs recently on Netflix. It's a Polish series with only 2 seasons, although a Google search says season 3 is out and 4 is in production. We binged quite a few series of Harlan Coben's books in February until we got bored of his style and similar mechanics in every story. I found Joe Lansdale's Hap and Leonard on Netflix last weekend and binged the 3 seasons. It's only available until March 5th. I like Lansdale's books and characters. Thumbs up for Hap and Leonard!

I'm now watching Season 3 of Stranger Things, which I'm enjoying. Lots of nostalgia in those old Eighties songs, and I like the character development going on.

Kloe is a GDR agent in the late 80s and gets betrayed by her agency and thrown in prison. When the GDR falls, she is released as a political prisoner and starts figuring out who threw her in prison and tracking them down. When the agency finds out she's out, they are trying to eliminate her too. It's an action show with a lot of humor and a little late 80s GDR history lesson.

n October 1989, right before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Alex Kerner (Daniel Brühl) is living with his mom, Christiane (Kathrin Sass), and sister, Ariane (Maria Simon). But when the mother, a loyal party member, sees Alex participating in an anti-communist rally, she falls into a coma and misses the revolution. After she wakes, doctors say any jarring event could make her have a heart attack, meaning the family must go to great lengths to pretend communism still reigns in Berlin.

Did you know Quentin had Eli Roth finish that film that features in Inglorious?

Yap, he's one of the few German Actors i really like. I've read that his performance in "All Quiet on the Western Front" was outstanding.

Last night I finished up a video of Hamlet that the RSC released...in '09, I think. It has my beloved mad Scotsman in the title role and Patrick Stewart as Claudius.
I was feeling a little intimidated by this one; I haven't attempted to watch anything Shakespearean since high school, which was a long time ago. However, when it finally occurred to me to turn on the subtitles so I could follow the dialogue more easily, I fell in love with it.
And yes...it's every bit as spellbinding as advertised.
Next up: Storm of the Century!
