I'm almost through with The Haunting of Bly Manor. While it doesn't pack as many scares as Hill House, Mike Flanagan provides a solid follow-up. These anthology series are everything that American Horror Story fails miserably to be (I despise that tacky show).
You can tell that Flanagan was raised on Stephen King: he never loses sight of his characters, of the humanity in the horror. I hope he continues to adapt more classic haunted tales for Netflix.

Ok, this is probably silly but iactually liked a show called the Masked Singer that i happened to see. Dont know why exactly but maybe seeing famous people dressed up as bananas and eagles and flowers and so on so you cant even tell their skincolor. They sing and then the panel have to guess just from the voice. I never have a clue because most of these people are unknown to me (famous in usa dont mean famous in sweden) but it certainly is entertaining and some are actually really good singers. They can be anything, singers, actors, tv show hosts or athletes or politicians or just the growing amount of people who are just celebrities. anyway, silly perhaps but entertaining.

The new season starts today. I`ve never seen this show but heard it`s very entertaining.

Raised by Wolves part 2.
Personally, this is one of the best things to watch this year being a sci-fi fan. Superb sci fi with deeply stirring metaphysical underpinnings. Hard sci-fi with a surreal mythological fantasy vibe, very good actors, cinematography and special effects .
A dystopian sci-fi tale.

I'm not a fan, its all style, no substance.

You've perfectly described why I despise American Horror Story.
That being said, I disagree. Bly Manor is the gothic romance that Guillermo Del Toro failed to deliver with the woeful Crimson Peak.

I'm currently watching that as well, Frank. Yes, it's a really great throwback to old school science fiction: bold ideas and a well-crafted tale. And hey, if it keeps Ridley Scott from making yet another god-awful Alien "prequel," that's icing on the cake for me.

If it worked for you then great! I believe that after how great Hill House, the show deserved a better follow up season.

I finally started watching Ratched last night and it was even better than I expected it to be. I'm only on the 2nd episode (there are 8), but I'm hooked--I hope it stays this good.
