One of my favourite films is The Sound of Music, and EVERY single time I always tear up when he starts singing Edelweiss. This man was a giant in his profession.
I saw an interview where they had assembled the whole cast again, all the children and Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer and i remember that the actress that played Liesl, the oldest girl, said that it was Christopher Plummer who taught her to drink! It must have been a 40-years reunion or something like that. |

He was in another movie with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour - the movie was called Somewhere in Time and is a fantasy and romantic drama. Christopher Reeve falls in love with a picture of a lady and somehow manages to travel back in time to meet her.
Christopher Plummer was her agent/manager (she was an actress) - it was filmed on Mackinac Island in Michigan; It sounds silly but it's a well done movie

that was sad hearing this today, I've not followed top gear for a while and didn't even know she was ill. She was very energetic and passionate about racing and was fun to watch.
