I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
It is very well written and i just had to read it in one go.
It had the right amount of creepiness,
and the atmosphere was well developed.
The environment created was what you'd expect from a nice gothis short story.

Beautifully written. Creepy and gothic feel. Even some supernatural vibes. An enjoyable read.

Excellent.
As well as the dandy ghost story, I think Blackwood is commenting on isolating one's self and the demons that await when you do.
