I think I had a thread for this on the old board. This thread is for old traditional songs revamped and sung by your favorite artists. I was listening to The Grateful Dead and they had a traditional song that they opened with sometimes and it was also on their 1967 debut album. Wikipedia says it dates from 1917. It's called Cold Rain and Snow or sometimes just Rain and Snow. There are quite a few different artists that have done this one.
