An suspenseful and mysterious short story, with a very interesting character. (Smith)

The fact that these beings are attracted
to the doctor because of his extraordinary vitality,
made me think of vampires.

Awful when hungry,
otherwise pretty solid.

That's a strange and fascinating story. It seems like a story of the occult and maybe the beings are some kind of vampire since they are attracted to vitality. Did Smith conjure these beings up or did they somehow seek him out? Seems the circle in the room means Smith may have been responsible for calling them. I'm not sure what to make of it but the story is a captivating read.
