A short as eerie tale. The narrator does not realize he has been sent on vacation due to an illness. What he begins to witness is a pale man slowly moving room to room , closer to his. Death?
One question-- I may be misreading, but the story says the woman, who dies, was in 208/ yet at the end it say 207. Am I missing something?

A good story and a very creepy way to describe death getting closer to you. I thought the pacing of the story was good as death seemed to move at just the right speed. I think the fact the narrator doesn't seem to realize how ill he is adds to the suspense by delaying that information to the reader.
I'm not sure about the 207-208 room numbers. It seems to me to be an error but maybe the author meant it another way like the man's mind was starting to slip or something. I don't know. I almost think it's intentional because it's done twice.
