14. Slumber Party Massacre (1982)
Above average slasher flick. It has a lot of humor and is almost a parody of the genre. I still can’t figure out haw the killer gets his power drill to work with no cord. Cordless drills were kind of a rarity at the time and I don’t think there was a cordless drill that looked like what the killer had in this flick. Anyway, it’s pretty funny in places and is better than your average slasher flick. 6/10

15. Frogs (1972) Sam Elliot Ray Milland
An odd nature vs man movie but not too bad. Ray Milland is a wealthy guy that has a vacation home on an island in a swamp and he and his family go there for a 4th of July weekend. They notice an abundance of frogs on the property and soon all of the creatures are getting aggressive towards them. When I was watching it, the location had the look of a Florida State Park and when I watched the credits, I saw that it was filmed at Eden State Park in Florida. The house in the movie is a historic Florida house. 6/10

15. Poltergeist - A peaceful suburban home suddenly becomes a gateway for enraged ghosts who kidnap a little girl and take her to their twilight world. Hiring paranormal experts, the girl's family attempts to discover why she was taken and how to get her back. Is that the original, Spidey? I've been told good things about the remake as well. I believe that Sam Rockwell's in the remake. It was the original. Will look for the remake.

12. Zombieland (3,5/5)
Columbus, a college student, joins forces with three eccentric strangers to survive a zombie apocalypse and travel through the south-western USA to a safe haven.
After Shaun of The Dead, this movie proved that zombies movies can be funny also. The film is funny, dark and bloody, a great action/adventure movie.
The cast of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and many more suit this movie incredibly well.

This is a perfect example of a film that should have remained a one-off thing. I did really want a sequel myself, but the sequel we ended up getting wasn't very good.

I remember someone in a YouTube comment section that he tunes his bass speakers to Sam Elliot's voice.

25. "Gaia" 2021 (on Hulu)
Oh yes, get out there and commune with nature! Become one with the forest. ... make new friends, meet other devout nature 'lovers' who are avid 'mushroom devotees'!
Stick this one out 'til the credits roll, pay attention to the very last scene. 😉

15. House on Haunted Hill (1959)
Eccentric millionaire invites five strangers to spend the night at his haunted house and potentially earn $10,000 apiece—if they survive.
This movie is such a classic that I have seen so many times, it’s difficult to review objectively. Produced and directed by William Castle, known for his gimmicky horror films, HoHH actually holds up well as an entertaining film on its own (even without the plastic skeleton flying above the live audience that originally accompanied this film). Vincent Price chews the scenery as the millionaire and can go from being a sophisticated gentleman host to a cynical bad guy in the midst of a single sentence. He’s captivating every moment he is on screen and his performance carries much of the film’s more expository scenes.
The constant procession of ghosts, ghouls and skeletons, along with booby traps, acid pits and hidden passageways, leave the audience wondering what will come next in this parade of horrors. Several scenes are iconic and still pack a punch over sixty years later, particularly the milky-eyed witch ghost who glides around as if on hidden wheels. Yes, it’s not afraid to be hokey, but so many horror cliché’s originated with this film, and its great box office success proved there was still an appetite for horror that didn’t involve heavy makeup or a guy in a rubber suit. It is said that after seeing the great success of HoHH, Alfred Hitchcock was inspired to make Psycho. Certainly its financial success opened up the coffers to a good many other productions, even when there wasn’t a direct obvious influence.
If you’re looking for the perfect creepy old horror movie to get you in the mood for Halloween, and maybe have a few laughs and screams along the way, look no further than the original House on Haunted Hill.

16. Basket Case (1982)
A young man carrying a big basket that contains his extremely deformed, formerly conjoined twin brother seeks vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will.
An ultra low budget gem. Twisted , gruesome, hilarious and even sad. 8/10

13. Nope (FTV 4,5/5)
Two siblings running a horse ranch in California discover something wonderful and sinister in the skies above, while the owner of an adjacent theme park tries to profit from the mysterious, otherworldly phenomenon.
Hm, where to begin ? It is a Horror/Mystery/Scifi Movie, and it's brilliant.
More Mystery/Scifi than Horror.
The cinematography and soundtrack merged to create an incredibly suspenseful build up and climax and I was on the edge of my seat awaiting the next act. The Gordy scene was seriously one of the most horrifying and realistic scene of the movie, it's definitely unsettling and if you're looking to get spooked this will certainly do it.
Different style of storytelling than usual, makes the movie a little confusing, but in a good way.
The alien/creatures design was stunning, something I've never seen before.
I've read complaints about the runtime, but I felt that, once you immerse yourself into the movie the time goes by way too fast.
A must watch (Just my two cents)
