My mother is a Doo Wop and Motown Girl.
My gran was a Jitterbuggin' Big Band and Swing Girl.
(SK's wonderful Henry Leydon would approve.

We need to remember all the awesome elder genres of music.
Real CLASSIC Blues, like B.B. King, Muddy Waters and other greats.
...all of this music listed above,
has inspired and influenced
all of the music we love up to today.
Over the years I have made a point of reminding myself
that Big Band artists were the Jaggers, Gilmores, Bowies and Corey Taylors of her day.
She loved the Beatles, and she DID like a lot of MY music,
and appreciated Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who and others.
How could I not try to learn to like and appreciate her's and my mom's too. 🙂
Here's just one to kick start things off here,
