Not much to say about this one except that it's a creepy tale with a twist ending. A twist ending that I hate.  Maybe that was an innovative ending back in the day but it seems like a cheat now. I wish Blackwood had continued the tale with the mysterious man, the murder and the money. I was getting very interested when it abruptly ended.

Was engrossed in the story, ready for the next twist and bamm. Nope, did not like the ending. There may have been a tad of foreshadowing, as I was getting the impression something was not holding true.
Agree with wireman, would have enjoyed the continuation of the story.
