Some of the dialog in this is a little hard to understand. This was an enjoyable story about the law being a little different out in the middle of the Yukon. What's right in the eyes of the law might not be the same in the eyes of the people that live there.
When I started reading it, I thought I picked a Christmas story.

Christmas Eve-- yes, thoughts of a Christmas type story did enter my thoughts too. This short story took tad of concentration. The reader could feel the harshness of the Yukon. I did enjoy the story.

I really liked this story! I wasn't expecting the turn of events toward the end and I was glad they helped the man. Even though most of them did it unknowingly, and they were angry at first, they knew it was the right thing to do after hearing what had happened to him.
