One of my other interests is ceramics and thought why not combine the two. So have started watching Stephen King films again to see what ceramics are used and wondered if they are collectable. So far have spotted the soup bowl, when Kathy Bates spills soup in Misery and the boy mountaineer that is given in Needful Things and I`m sure there are more.

I love watching movies and finding/spotting little things like that in the props. I would like to see 'Needful Things' again....that figurine was a Hummel?...trying to remember now. Good luck with the treasure hunting and collecting.
(this isn't SK related, but I have a big solid brass ashtray exactly like the one on the coffee table in 'Risky Business'. I bought it at a garage sale.)

It seems like certified Stephen King film props are hard to obtain, even harder over here. Do you know what happens to them?
Ashtray sounds cool

Have gone off on another tangent and wondering whether a hand sized ceramic item that was rare, certified, used and endorsed by Stephen king, would be classed as a collectable.

Over the last approximately 6 years have been developing a drinking mug that allows less spillage for unstable hands. At the moment I am making plaster molds for slip casting, as slab making is to slow and I cannot judge the thickness of clay with my fingers on the wheel. I have used Kmart mugs before for attachments that are well food safe bonded and use mainly local products, including a small amount of clay from the backyard and I know that it works. I worked with a graphic designer on a drawing of a platypus, that is now a registered trademark in Australia. In about 6mths time was thinking about sending some of the developed items an a explanatory letter to ka-tet playground for assessment. At the moment it is only trademarked for Australia and do not wish to give to much detail over the net, but would appreciate an honest opinion.

What are you looking for exactly?
If you mean actual props from the films, the studios usually lock that stuff away these days. The bootleg market however has replicas of the missing person signs used in IT, like there's one of FInhard's character on Ebay for like 10 dollars.
Sometimes if the studio goes out of business, stuff is auctioned off but most of King's latest films have been done by Warner, I don't see them going out of business anytime soon.

Am looking for nothing specific, at the moment. Thankyou for the info, in the meantime I will checkout Ebay and see what is available.
