Oh man, its going to be so good! Like two of three weeks until its back. I recently checked out Steve and Martin's comedy special on Netflix and it was hysterical.
Evidently there's going to be a lot of old jokes and Charles doing everything he can to keep his play going. And Mabel is trying to stay cool with the kids. Its going to be glorious.

Oh awwwrrrrrsome! 😃 I haven’t turned on Hulu today, but I will later as soon as I can. Oh, so looking forward to this ! Its like Christmas! haha! “OMITB Season 3!
Ep’s 1 and 2! ❗️❗️❗️
Loretta is great, and a love interest for our Oliver. They seem to somehow balance each other.😊
“Where have you been?” 👏
Martin Short is capable of some very serious, good acting. I’m glad to see him having a few opportunities in these 2 episodes, to show that off more.
Awesome! Charles and Joy are escalating! 😄
Ben’s ‘return apologies’ were really sumthin. Eager to find out more about what has happened off stage with the cast and crew!
Uma! 😂 (Still miss Bun-Bun, but a little piece of her lives on in the good friend of hers! 😄)
Ben’s resurgence! 😄 WHO was calling that Ben had to leave the room during the ‘party’ to talk to? See his reaction when he looked at the phone?
Uma again! When the second death happened! 😂
Howard and Sevelyn Marie Morrison’s intro animation scene is great! Will miss seeing Bunny walking Mrs. Gandolini though. 😊❤️
Mabel’s apartment! Nooooo! Mabel had to have it back! 💔😰
The Celebrity apartment? Hmmmm…..who will be occupying it next? Matthew Broderick I suppose.
Mabel! Charles! Chained together! Security stalker Greg used way too much chloroform on them! I can’t believe they both were so quick to think he was the killer. I like the new detective alright, but will miss Detective William’s and little Rookie Junior Detective Keefers.
OLIVER! Oh no! We cannot have anything happen to him! 💔😨😰
I like Maxine. It will be interesting to see if she will be back with more. The ‘Jazz Dance Sequence’ was totally awesome!
“The Killer” in Mabel and Charles’ death fall vision? We’re just going to have to see what happens next about all that.
Charles ‘Girl Cop handshake’ 😂👏
Last words Charles said to Ben on the stage, in the season 2’s cliffhanger ending : “Be smart. ..Stay away from her…I know what you did…..” What SHE? ? ? Who is she!?
We’re onto how these writer’s think, and how the killers (so far) end up being someone ‘out there’ and how they like to deliberately mislead the audience.
The killer is not necessarily a cast member. The handkerchiefS could be promotional and NUMEROUS, and not only available to the cast.
Brother Dickey and THE CAMERAMAN, Tobert. Can’t be trusted….they’re hiding something’s. 🤨
Donna and Cliff freak me out, and can’t be trusted. 😒
The Schmakary cookies scenes…..hmmm. I noticed how Tobert was filming and watching that.
Funny that Ben’s stage crisis/death was thought to have been caused by something he ate. And why he coughing/half-choking that way, at the party?
That’s all I can remember right now, I’m sure there’s plenty I didn’t catch. 🙂
Anxious to see what next week had for us!

Yes, Wolf! So many good comments! What a first two episodes. I am always a bit worried when a show goes on to its third season, afraid it won't be as good. Especially so with comedies! But thankfully these two episodes have been some of the best of the entire show, I think. My first reaction as to who the murderer is, as you noted, Paul Rudd's brother; definitely something strange about him. Plus, he's in charge of everything that Paul eats (and could have poisoned him). There was the scene with the cookies at the reading. But I feel like that's way too obvious; the writers in this show very obviously have things like that in the show, and might make it seem like its a certain person that is the culprit for several episodes, then just completely go in the opposite direction. Its all about misdirection.
I do like how this show, like you say, has a lot of heartfelt scenes, as well as the comedy. The scene with Paul Rudd as his Girlcop character with Mabel was really good.
I was p*ssing myself laughing when it was Oliver's vision of Mabel and Charles show dancing, then Oliver's son randomly joins them. F*cking hysterical. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I like how they brough Paul Rudd back, but just to finish him off later. I do question, though, why Paul Rudd didn't have police protection after he was poisoned? Surely he would have cops at his door after that or something. It seems strange that the murderer could be able to get to him like that.
I am also a bit wary of Howard; he doesn't seem like the culprit, but neither did that secretary from season 2. I am also wary of Mr Bobo. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Lastly, I like how the actress that never got her break is played by Meryl Streep, probably the most famous and most successful actress in filmdom.
Overall, very interesting and funny stuff. What an awesome show.

Great post and observations edwardjohn ! Love it. I answer more thoroughly later. But for now…..
I get the feeling Dickey and Tobert are in cahoots. Need to see more about BoBo and KT….I think we will see Greg cleared and return with his helpful ‘investigative stalker work/files’.
No cop at the door because it was never determined that he was actually poisoned. Ben rather offhandedly mentioned that they thought it was something he ate. If I recall correctly they didn’t know exactly what happened to him.
as far as Charles and Mabel’s imagined vision of the second ‘killing’.. the person looks like a woman and NOT Loretta.
I’ll come back and answer more and better later. 😊

Yes, maybe he just thought it was something he eat. But it is strange that he wouldn't take the precautions after such an immense attack (on stage).
I could be wrong, but I think for the vision of Paul getting pushed, they switch the culprit from man to woman based on the different hypothesis' Charles and Mabel put forward.

Okay, got answers to your last 2 posts, edwardjohn ! Had to do it this way, because I’m on the phone🙂…….
OMITB Edders posts :
Your 1st post …..
Yes, Wolf! So many good comments! ——- Thank you. Love yours too!😄
What a first two episodes.
———-Yes, you’re right. He’s our ‘first to obvious suspect’ for this killing. Like ‘Alice’ was last season. In Ben’s ‘entrance rantings/tangent’ I think he mentioned that as a child actor he had been supporting his mother and brother? I think Dickey is an OLDER brother too, maybe with serious issues concerning younger Ben. Looking for a life insurance policy to surface, and see who the beneficiary is.
It’s all about misdirection. ———- Lol, Yeah, but I’m wondering about those cookies and who put them there. Considering his weakness for them. 😉
I do like how this show, like you say, has a lot of heartfelt scenes, as well as the comedy. The scene with Paul Rudd as his Girlcop character with Mabel was really good. ——— yap! That was very good! And ‘that Ben’ (though being in that particular character) was much more likable and good for Mabel. 😊
——— Now that was cool! And when he reappeared, you had to briefly wonder if he really was going to be our victim for this season, or would it be someone else!
I do question, though, why Paul Rudd didn't have police protection after he was poisoned? ——- Still no evidence of a poisoning. He didn’t want to stay, the hospital staff didn’t want him to leave. After his ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ experience, he wanted to rush back and get on with those ‘apologies’ to everyone.
Surely he would have cops at his door after that or something. It seems strange that the murderer could be able to get to him like that. ——— I don’t think that any one had really, seriously, been thinking it was murder, that first time.
I am also a bit wary of Howard; he doesn't seem like the culprit, but neither did that secretary from season 2. ———- Nah. 😊 Howard and Jonathan both are lambs.😊 Besides, they’re regulars and Poppy wasn’t. Lol, Howard does not have it in him to be like (his summation and description of…..) LINA LIN, and ‘cut a bitch’. 🤣
I am also wary of Mr Bobo. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
——— a dark horse that one. 😳
Lastly, I like how the actress that never got her break is played by Meryl Streep, probably the most famous and most successful actress in filmdom.
———- Streep is great! I admire her for how she is equally adept with comedy and the dramatic, or tragic. 😊 I tell you what…..her reaction after Ben’s ‘apology’ to her, was priceless. Loretta really showed a ‘murderous bitch’ side in that scene. Streep makes a believer out of you.
I dunno. Maybe our ‘first too obvious killer suspect’ isn’t Dickey, it’s Loretta? What do you think Edders? 😊
Overall, very interesting and funny stuff. What an awesome show. —— Yes!!! 😄
Your 2nd post…..
Good points, Wolf. I don't think they mentioned it being an allergic reaction or anything. —— Nor do I. 😊
I remember when Paul Rudd's brother took the cookies away at the reading, the reason wasn't because he was allergic or anything like that. ———— He took the ‘temptress cookies’ away, because Ben had to stay on his trainer’s Cobro Diet. 🤣😂
Yes, maybe he just thought it was something he eat. But it is strange that he wouldn't take the precautions after such an immense attack (on stage). ————He seemed like he was feeling really pretty good after reviving, but that ‘choke-like cough thing’ was noticeable and may be noteworthy.
I could be wrong, but I think for the vision of Paul getting pushed, they switch the culprit from man to woman based on the different hypothesis' Charles and Mabel put forward. ———— Granted you could see the effort put in to make the would be killer appear androgynous, but they still looked female.
Ben is an obnoxious jerk! No one will miss him much.
But …..gotta like him a little more with every layer of his story that is revealed.
Like the unfortunate thing between he and Charles, when he was kicked off Brazzos as an 8 year old, doing a ‘table reading. 💔

One other thing…..
I think we should keep in mind that ‘imaginary killer scene’ is just that. Imaginary. And Charles and Mabel’s speculation. It’s not the same as the ‘Bunny’s Killer’ scenes we saw last year, with glimpses of the disguised killer in ‘flashbacks’.

What if…….
……Ben wasn’t pushed? What if no one pushed him, he fell into the elevator shaft because he was still ill and should have stayed in the hospital like they wanted him to. Maybe he did have some kind of poison, or something else in his system, and that is the cause of his second death. Think it’s a possibility, edwardjohn ? Considering the writers we have to deal with on this show!?

Yeah, Wolf, it could very well be that its Loretta. Although, I don't think the really famous guest actress or celebrity they have for each season is ever the murderer. I know the woman from the first season was quite famous, but she wasn't Tina Fey or Amy Schumer famous, you know? I still think Tina Fey would have been the perfect murderer for season 2! I thought it was her from the beginning and was so happy when they did that episode when they made it seem like it was her! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! But of course is wasn't.
I think its a bit too obvious with Loretta, but you never know. Maybe they've made her obvious, so you'll forget about her until the end. haha! Like you said, we know what these writers are like.
Also, I cannot wait until we get the musical version of Oliver's play. Its going to be epic. You know Steve Martin will love the opportunity to get to sing. hahahahahahahahahaha! And I would love some more flashbacks of Oliver when he was younger; although, I think this is more going to be a Mabel kind of season.

I didn’t recognize her at first, under all that big assed hair and heavy makeup. 😂 SHE is VERY good!

Watched Ep 1 again this morning with coffee. The only thing Ben ever said (before he died in the elevator shaft) was that “…maybe it was something I ate?” Mabel is the only one I’ve seen that has suspected poisoning from the beginning. Going to watch Ep. 2 again now. Need to pay more attention to a scene with Howard, KT and Jonathan. Howard and KT both had ‘those handkerchiefs’…..so there ARE more of those around, than only the ones the cast members were given. 😊

I don't know why, Wolf, but I think the stage organizer is the murderer, Wolf, I do!
Anyway, on to this episode. Not the best of episodes, to be honest. The sole episode a week is really, really brutal. Two a week is perfect.
Meryl Streep's singing ... yeah ... not awesome. To be fair, she's never really been a singer; I know she did Mamma Mia and all and it wasn't great, but she's not a singer, dancer and actress like some folks are, you know? And a great actress! But not the best singer (I'm pretty sure it was autotuned).
Ben's love interest is a really good singer. I looked up that actress and wasn't surprised to learn that she's done musicals in the past and is basically a singer (as well as an actress). She was seriously good.
Also, what is it with giving Mabel a new love interest every season? In the first was the guy they thought was the hoody dude, the second was Alice, now its random cameraman that talks about Botswana? Now Oliver's got a love interest, but I feel like the plot forgets about Charles quite a bit of the time. The best thing about the episode was when Charles was doing what he could to get their hankies, that was so funny.

This was another excellent episode! A LOT of information (past and new) in this one!
Edders, did you happen to catch the “Quote of the Week” ? …..
Charles : “…..I don’t know, but another female killer!….that’s so done!”
I don't know why, Wolf, but I think the stage organizer is the murderer, Wolf, I do!
——-The stage manager with glasses, KT? Still early, no telling what we might see come out about KT and Ben. But don’t you think that KT is a little bit too much of a ‘Poppy White’ type to be the killer, at this point? Though she is not as introverted and she’s kind of a hardass, at times.
Anyway, on to this episode. Not the best of episodes, to be honest. The sole episode a week is really, really brutal. Two a week is perfect.

———- Ben’s love interest? Kimber? ….mmm….we still don’t know exactly what happened (or didn’t happen) between those two. I think Ben’s ‘apology’ to her was telling. I don’t like musicals at all, but I would make myself watch an Oliver Show like I did Burton’s ‘Sweeney Todd’. I do not like show tunes, but Meryl Streep did a good job singing “The Nanny’s Lullaby”. That was a really lovely song, beautiful music, and it was great the way Kimber joined in towards the end of it. I don’t know who that actress is, but she looks like Mantis from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. And yes! She’s got vox, for sure. Kimber is also looking like she’s capable of a lot of mayhem too.
I think Loretta and Kimber both may have some slow burning underlying ‘psycho tendencies’.
When it comes to Loretta, I think it’s her backstory flashbacks and that particular soliloquy in her initial audition scene from episode 1, that makes me feel that way. And also the way she quietly seethed when she called Ben a ‘f@cking a**h*le’, that time lol.
——— They’re working on Oliver and Loretta. At least they finally got a real kiss in!
Charles now has Joy. Charles had the Jan Drama go on for two seasons, they may give him a much needed rest with fun Joy.
Right now Tobert and Mabel seem to be going through a ‘I like you and I dislike you’ thing. (And neither trusts the other. You know how Mabel’s trust issues can be so profound, and do run so deeply) Mabel may not have any love interest, this season.
I’m highly suspicious of Tobert, he is a mercenary and shifty as hell and he’s an outright liar. Right now I think he could be our killer.
Tobert’s recording, and how he and Mabel were searching the celebrity penthouse :
That is one of the best parts about episode 3!
What was in that! Ben’s one sided conversation with a mystery person! That is what Ben’s upsetting phone call was all about.
It could have been anyone in that video. And that definitely sounded like Ben was speaking to a love interest. Whoever that is…..they may not be the actual killer. Got to go back and think about the timeline, and when exactly that was recorded and who was around.
But candidates for who it could be in the vid ? :
Tobert himself?
Loretta? (though they already did the older woman/younger man thing, with Jan and Tim)
Donna OR Cliff? (though those two appear to be joined at the hip most of the time)
Jonathan?
KT?
BoBo?
Don’t know yet. There’s a lot of possibilities. And like I said, whoever it was MAY NOT BE THE KILLER.
Players capable of ‘cutting/poisoning, or throwing a bitch down an elevator shaft’?
KT Tobert Loretta Kimber Donna Dickey
Linda Eamond is seriously doing great as dramatic Donna! Lol.
What exactly was Dickey’s meltdown in the penthouse all about?
I am really wanting (and expecting) to see Greg cleared, released, and his surveillance work to become helpful. It may already be helping the detective. We’ll see.
Like Mabel and Charles, I am missing ‘The Trio’ of sleuth buddies all working together. Charles had said he misses Oliver, and I liked how Mabel said in an earlier episode “…and I get to be with my guys.” 😊❤️
But I am happy for Oliver to be back out of “Broadway Jail” and working again! 😄👏 And hoping he does not have a major heart attack coming! 😰💔
I want to see Maxine come back again too.
And I wonder if anyone new will be introduced. Jan wasn’t introduced until episode 3 or 4 I think, in season 1. Same thing with Poppy in season 2 maybe.
(What if they do something really different this year and have a newer semi-regular be the killer! And someone you’d least expect!? JONATHAN! 😱. 😂)
