Today I wanted to do something different. So I turned on Hulu instead of music on youtube for a change.
Put it on GMA, just to have some low noise in the background, to go along with the bath tub wrestling noises, and a minute later the sounds of 70's style car chases.... re-enacted with cats, up and down the hallway.🙄🤨 😊❤
(AND yeeaaaaaahh...the PITA Smartass TV is one of my best friends and drinkin' buddies, right next to Frank, Dio and occasionally neighbor Phil. 😄😉 )
Then I got out of bed, and on to the usual coffee and shower stuff. (shower.....after the cat bathtub wrestling and prayers were done... for the morning 😄 )
Got another cup of coffee, opened the office door, and surveyed. Decided on what i was going to tackle in there today, and left the door OPEN. 😊
Here is where more of the 'different' came in....
I took some time to watch the first 2 episodes of (S2 of) the Hulu original series: "Only Murders in the Building"!
It's good! I really like it. And I think this season is going to be even better than season 1.
Martin Short and Steve Martin! And I have been pleasantly surprised that Selena Gomez (as actress and character 'Mabel') fits in with these 2 guys SO well! Comedy, drama, mystery, intrigue....all abound! (great supporting cast and guest stars too!)
After I watched those epicsodes I cranked up the volume, put season 1 on the tv and got to work on the office. Listening to S1, to refresh my memory. 😊
It's obvious Mrs. Folger is 'the artist'. Mabel should NOT be trusting this new artist chick that has suddenly come out of nowhere. AND...I'm really worried that Mabel made a big mistake when she let that girl film her using that axe! yap! I'm calling it like I see it.
I really like the intro/closing animation/art....Bunny walking the dog turned into Bunny walking a parrot! 😄
....I miss Bunny. 💔

....yeah....missin' Bunny even MORE now. a054 I think the creepy cool new artist chick might be Bunny's murderer...but who is she?...fanatic fan of that art?...an illegitimate, ignored relation?...Both?...and if she is the murdereress...how did she gain access to EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE?....to do ALL the guilty one did?....I think "Savage 14" maybe a calling card of a clue. gotta eat dinner and go to bed now.

Alright SOME questions answered! Another good episode.
I had forgotten Steve Martin's character's full name is Charles Haden SAVAGE. And it is HIS dad in that painting... we need guest star Shirley McClain (Bunny's mom, Leonora Folger) to show back up and reveal more history/backstory. SHE is the one that saw the painting was a 'replacement, a fake'.
But she never looked at the back of it, where 'Savage'...and something else below that, was written. The audience never got a good look at that...still don't know if '14' was written there or not! (I'm still wondering if 'Savage' may have yet another meaning.)
The ex-stepdaughter Lucy is a great kid! As well as a secret elevator in the back of Bunny's closet, Lucy shows them all a secret door behind Charles' bathroom cabinet, that leads to passageways and another elevator! Cool.
The killer has intimate knowledge of this building and the things that are not on the plans.
Yap! Still sure the new artist chick Alice is the killer....and is the artist that painted the forgery! (and that Mrs. Folger and the real artist are the same person) The killer was clad head to toe in bulky black garb...disguising a woman's frame...but not her walk and other distinctive movements.

Oh man, that's one of my favorite shows, Wolf! It's really a good one, isn't it? 😄
hmmmm...that '14'...I dunno, I've got a vague nagging hunch that it COULD be a room or apartment # at that place across the street, where young Charles' dad was (trysting? and...) taken away from that night by the cops...with blood on his white shirt! We need Leonora to elaborate on it all! Damnit! smilie_wut_086 What do you think, Edders!? bokoebaFTerAfwUuywKb

I'm convinced that the Cara Delavigne character is involved in this somehow; Charles' love interest was the murderer last season, could it be that that its Mable's turn? Very possibly. The reason why I say that is that there really doesn't seem to be any point to her character at the moment, plus she's a bit creepy whenever she's around Mable, so there is that. But yes, I think that Charles' father may be really important to all of this.

Could it be that Mable was Charles' Dads lover? Why else would she have the painting? Was that who he was meeting in the hotel across from the Arconian? Or is whomever Charles' Dads lover was the culprit, generally?

Our 3 sleuths are all being framed by the killer, I think Alice is getting close to Mabel to help accomplish that!...but she may come to really care for Mabel. I also think Alice is the mysterious caller who had been harassing Bunny about wanting the painting, and is the 'someone' that the waiter mentioned to Bunny (that Bunny said was NOT a friend). As far as 14 possibly being a room/apartment goes...aren't all the apartment #'s in the Arconian 3 digit numerals? I hope we get to see inside the other building sometime. Here's what I picked up on, in earlier episodes : I think it's obvious Mrs. Folger (Bunny's mom, Leonora) is the dead artist Rose Cooper. L.Folger admitted to Charles that she had an affair with his father and so did Rose Cooper! And Rose Cooper lived in that building across the street from the Arconia, where young Charles' dad was arrested that night. Remember Charles wondering if Bunny could be his half sister? Mabel should NOT be trusting this new artist chick that has suddenly come out of nowhere. AND...I'm really worried that Mabel made a big mistake when she let that girl film her using that axe! yap! I'm just calling it like I see it.

Yeah, I believe its two digits, then a letter. I'm terrible with names (as you know), but in searching the shows Wikipedia to remind myself of their names, I noticed that Charles' room number is 14C, interestingly.
I think this has all got to have something to do with Jan. Why else would they be getting targeted? Could it be that Alice is some kind of relation to Jan and is doing this with her blessing from prison? Very possibly.
Its great that a comedy show like this can have such a compelling mystery element to it. Speaking of which, I laughed so much when Oliver threw the murder weapon into the ceiling, that was so, so funny.

Alright, now that has got me thinking back to young Charles' dad telling him that one day they would live in the Arconian!
SO now we need to know how Charles got his apartment!
I wonder....did wealthy Leonora acquire it for her lover? Charles has been a long time resident. And isn't his place just catty corner from Bunny's apartment?
I think this has all got to have something to do with Jan. Why else would they be getting targeted? Could it be that Alice is some kind of relation to Jan and is doing this with her blessing from prison? Very possibly. --- Oooo! Very good! Possible!
.....hmmm...right now, I'm thinking that Charles is going to be 'the Clarice' to imprisoned Jan's 'Hannibal'. lol! Possibly.

I get it now! They all live on the 14th floor and Charles is apartment C, and Mabel is in E, that is close to Bunny's place. Bunny's last words were "Savage 14". She may have been trying to tell Mabel 'the motive' to her murder, as well as point to the killer... "ALL ABOUT THAT PAINTING" I wish we could get a good look at the back of the forgery! And what is written on the back of the original painting? Leonora will know! Looking forward to seeing her, and the detective show back up! "Savage" is a cool title for the artwork, and fun play on words lol. Do you think somewhere down line Mabel may discover the original painting hidden in Alice's studio? I do. I'm ready to put this series on the shelf til next Tuesday now. Looking forward to seeing the latest episode of "The Oldman", later tonight or tomorrow! applouse

The person that Bunny was meeting about the painting HAS to be Alice, especially with her owning/working at an art studio/museum; perhaps she was trying to get it for her exhibition, Bunny refused, Alice murders her and, like you said, steals the painting and replaces it with a forgery.

In returning to this possibly being some master plan by Jan: there's always the possibility that Jan wants Alice to get the gang framed (Alice gets the painting, Jan gets revenge) because, obviously, they're the reason that she's in prison, but that she wants Charles to be closer to her because, despite everything, I think she really still cares, weirdly, about him.
