That was quite a story. It's a mind bender that I need to reread. It's seems to be an early version of Norman Bates. What happened in this story can be interpreted different ways. What's a dream and what's real? The complicated structure of the story is well done by starting with the death and then going into the strange backstory and getting small amounts of information as the story progresses. A very interesting story that I'm going to reread.

Very interesting story, and agree, it will take a reread and pulling apart the parts of it. Yes, Norman Bates for sure. The bizarre attachment Frayser had to his mom. There is a lot of confusion and mystery. How to interpret its psychological power. So far, I've felt misplaced aggression, denial, and the ending terror. This one request in depth study.
