What do you consider the best adaptation of a king novel? It doesn't have to be 100% accurate to the novel to be a great adaptation so long as it still retained the the core spirit of the book.
For me its a tie between the Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile. Neither were 100% but I felt that bother were amazingly faithful to the story.

"Christine" was pretty good, but a lot got left out that I would have liked to see.

I would have said the OG Pet Sematary was the best if they had just put more of the Lore into the movie.

I would have said the OG Pet Sematary was the best if they had just put more of the Lore into the movie. Yes, that is definitely another. Spacek's "Carrie" is another. ..what did you think of the remake with Chloe Grace Moritz?...if you have seen it, JB?🙂
"Shawshank", " Green mile" and "The Mist"( like Dizzy said) The 3 films that Frank Darabont did, may be the truest to the stories. I think.
I have not read "1922" or "11/22/63" but have seen both of those and thought they were excellent.
"The Night Flier" was very good!
And both Kathy Bates films, "Dolores Claiborne" and "Misery" were two more that fantastic and I think were very true to the written stories.
"Gerald's Game" was very good as well.
The one I really didn't care for, and was awfully way off from the story I read, was the movie they made of "Gramma"...can't think of the name if right now. I saw that and "1922" on Netflix, long ago when I had it on trial for awhile quite long ago.

Hey you guys, another adaption that I think was a GREAT, is "Needful Things". Yes, that was one of King's really looong books...and not everything made it into the movie. But it was extremely well done and had a wonderful cast. Max Von Sydow as Gaunt! 😍
