I always thought Susannah was who she was mean to be, when she split she became Detta and Odetta

in the Joanne Woodard film "The 3 Faces of Eve".
As opposed to Eve Black and (Mrs.) Evie White. 😉 |

And remember that Detta Walker is meant to be 180 degree opposite from the cultured and educated Odetta Holmes. Her manner of speech would be rougher and more direct than Odetta's. Odetta was a Lady and Detta was not.
Okay...probably my skewed alc'hol thinkin' at the moment,
but I always sorta thought 'Detta was the 360 degree opposite of Odetta.
And Susannah is the 180 in the middle of both them (but BETTER). 🙂
But I am sure you're more than likely right,

It's just that when you get into polar opposites,
Roland and Walter come to mind first, for me.
Susannah has a more of a 3 in 1 thing going on.... to me.
I suppose you could think of Susannah being
that 90 degree RIGHT angled radius.😊
But that makes me go into thinking about spheres,
and the equator circling the earth...
and the Native American Indians' Wheel of Life...
and all kinds of other things too. 😄  |

Lol, now I'm imagining the world being a flat circle,
and Susannah traveling from the high and mighty North Pole that is Odetta,
around and down to the low bottom South Pole and picking up 'Detta along her way, going back up again, to come back around full circle.
I suppose that's one way it works,
and she could have come a full 360. 😊
But I still can't help but imagining those 2 'Polar Opposites'
that are ( basically ) good and evil,
still being there and
continually battling one another,
and causing turmoil.
Where Susannah had actually ended that
when she emerged as the dominant and whole personality.
