Desperation was an awesome book. Not only does it stand alone it also established new things in the the SK collective works. it also has my second fave SK quotes.

I think it might be a bit darker than a regular King novel. Did not read your spoiler so I cannot comment.

I have not gotten to read "The Regulators",
nor have I seen a copy of it!
I had no idea the two were related,
and that he wrote 'The Regulators'
under the Bachman pseudonym.
I thought that "the Regulators" was a MUCH newer work,
and that King had abandoned the Bachman name long ago before that.
I must have been totally wrong (and mixed up) about that last part.
