Okay, I'm having A LOT of cool things popping up in my Youtube Playlists lately. As far as music AND movies go. I thought about it for as long as I had time to today, and I can't think of a thread to put these things. So I'll start this new thread.
(It COULD be a companion thread to our usual Movie Madness, "Let's watch a Movie Together" thread, but it doesn't have to be. We might get some good ideas here, for that main thread though. For future reference. Our list us pretty long already.🙂😉)
Everyone bring cool stuff you have found and like, and think others might enjoy also. Talk about the films and all have a good time. 🙂 You don't have to post vids, just mentioning them is fine. 😉
These are just 2 I found today that I like and think are pretty good. The 1977 adaption of H.G. Wells :
"The Island Of Dr. Moreau"
Starring Burt Lancaster, Michael York, Richard Basehart, Nigel Davenport and Barbara Carrera. This was a very nice film for it's time, the makeup/prosthetics were really good. The story moves along pretty well and all around it is a good watch of a favorite. (I remember seeing this YEARS ago. Liked it then, and it was good again today.) The more recent remake in the late 90's with Brando, Thewlis, Kilmer and Faruiza Balk is another favorite. But I do doubt that one will be available and free on youtube. Haven't looked yet.....
The other movie I came across is a Costner film. I had it playing in the background while I had been working. Mmm...it's kind of slow moving (for Satyrday "Movie Madness" I think), but has a great cast and was interesting and exciting enough to get my full attention at times. I plan on watching this one again, fully focused and with no distractions....
...later guys. Got to get back to work now. 😊

If you're ever down and in need of a really good feel-good movie, you can't beat The Healer (2017). If you watch it, do watch it through the credits at the end and see who the movie is dedicated to.

I know some nice Short Movies, mostly SCIFI. There are some really good ones out there, aren't there?😊 I don't want to crap up, and slow down the loading, in this thread with a bunch of vids. But there are some gems out there (as well as a bunch of garbage 🙄) to keep track of and at least mention, from time to time. I've gotten to where I really enjoy watching movies on Youtube. 🙂
Found another one late yesterday afternoon too, that was really pretty good....
"Confirmation" with Clive Owen, Maria Bello, Matthew Modine, TIM BLAKE NELSON😍 ...and the little boy who plays Bill, in the new "It" flicks.
It's free and you don't have to sign in to watch. I've found some good flicks on YT that aren't too PG, and you have to sign in to confirm age. (I know you know that! Lol. 😂😉) It's a good 'barometer' when wanting to post PG flicks here on the board. I think. 🙂

I'm going to watch this tonight, Dio. ..it'll be good to help me wind down and not play music vids all night long. 😄😉 Thanks again for posting it. 😊

Hey diobolic Dio, I did watch "The Healer" the other night, and it was excellent! Really funny in a lot of parts, but so much good serious drama too. Thank you again for that reccommendation. 😊
I've got a Movie Day going on today, I found this on youtube earlier and have watched it once. I'm going to NyQuil out on the couch and watch it again now. Fairuza Balk is in it, I've always liked her. Slow moving flick, but in a good way if you're in the mood. Suspense, creepy mystery, drama horror. Not a bad watch, it's good enough that I'm watching it again. But maybe it's just the NyQuil talking and what I'm in the mood for today.🙂 See y'all later....

The Man From Earth (2007)
I saw this awhile ago and have to watch it again thinking about it. A completely cerebral movie and completely enthralling. Definitely worth a watch.

Gotta look for that, or at least look it up and see what it's about. Now that I think about it, I'm kinda glad I started this thread. It might be a good place to talk about some movies we've seen and want to see again sometime. As well as bringing pretty good recent or new finds. Lol, I had thought about deleting this thread, I'm not the best thread starter around here.

I just found out they made a sequel in 2017, so I want to see the first one again before watching the the 2017 sequel, which I think is free also. IMO it may be the best low budget flick ever made (budget of $200,000). It's a movie you don't even need to watch, you can just listen to the dialogue. So utterly thought provoking. And what an ending.

This movie looks like it may be good. I'm definitely going to check this one out, I love Jeremy Irons. This can only be seen on youtube, signed in, it's an R. But it's free.
"The Fourth Angel" 2003 (also starring Forest Whitaker and Charlotte Rampling). ...

Link : Okay, I watched this one last night. It was alright, not as good as I had expected it to be. And I really didn't see any reason for this to be rated 'R', there was nothing objectionable but some violence, and that wasn't even 'R' worthy. The best parts (for me) were Irons and Whitaker, and Irons and Rampling, in scenes together. Not a total disappointment, but I'm not going to watch it again.

I saw this awhile ago and have to watch it again thinking about it. A completely cerebral movie and completely enthralling. Definitely worth a watch. Dang Dio, I just watched the first scene of this one while taking another break, it's got a really good cast so far, and I like it! I'm going to watch all of it as soon as I can.
"Resident Alien" tonight!
and I will try to find the sequel to "The Man From Earth" as well.
