to start a "Playground Tradition all our own".
We already have what looks like a few author's willing to go for it.

I’m thinking about a story of a group of male writers who are held captive by a tyrannical woman taskmaster who forces them to churn out story after story for her own devious pleasure... and how they make their escape on Christmas by spiking her eggnog.
Far fetched I know, but might make for some good reading and impassioned writing.
(If anybody is looking for me I'll be hiding out in my secure underground bunker.  )

Okay wolf. Whatever you say. Spoken like a true tyrannical taskmaster. Forget I said anything... Bad azz Jack Frost like Santa story sounds like perfection. (The welts on my backside from last time I went stupid maverick still haven't completely gone away ).
Or even Mack and Dartania save the day with magical wolves when Jack Frost poisons all of Santa's reindeer. (Tahiti might be the only safe place to hide  ).

I was really serious about a Christmas ghoul of some kind, though.
Terrorizing in the night some sort of way.

What about a story about an ordinary old woman,
who underneath is really evil...and she is baking and cooking things
for neighbors and friends, and is secretly poisoning them for some wicked reason.
She doesn't have to be crazy (that's been done to death, I think)...just mean and rotten and icky.😄😉
Just in case y'all want to do a story, that is not deeply rooted in the supernatural. 😊
