Steven Hawking...Isaac Asimov....Sarah Connor....they all been warning about this crap for a long time.🙂 It ain't going to happen. I'm waiting to see the ban on these damn self driving cars...faulty bastards. I'm going with Spooner and I'm bringin' the guns and Holy Water. 😊😉🐺🤠😎

Even Musk has warned that humans risk being overtaken by artificial intelligence within the next five years. Tbh, i don't give a f**k about self driving cars.
I've watched a documentary about LAWS (lethal autonomous weapon systems )today.
Can we build Ai without losing control over it ? It isn't called Artificial Intelligence for nothing.

K, here's the tricky part. CAN WE, pull the Plug ?
Erring is Human, so who is to blame ? The Programmer or his Machine ? Nope, no Pen Box Wolfie.

Erring is Human, so who is to blame ? The Programmer or his Machine ? Nope, no Pen Box Wolfie. LOL! Damnit Frank!? Bound and determined to make me think deep today, ain't you! 😄 How could something so flawed, create anything that is not also flawed? NOTHING ever runs perfectly! 🙂 And I just firmly know...the organic can live without the mechanical, but the mechanical cannot live without the organic. For many reasons.
And hey! If they did? Just exactly what kind of purpose would they have in a world where there was no humans to serve or destroy? If a flamin' machine was ever so advanced and intelligent that it saw mankind as nothing more than a parasite that needs to be gotten rid of and they did that? Then it wouldn't be long that they would have nothing to do and they would be left with no purpose and they'd be intelligent enough to go insane.
Remember the movie "War Games"? 😊😉

Erring is Human, so who is to blame ? The Programmer or his Machine ? To answer your question, my computer professor once told the class, the computer is only as smart as its programmer. I can't get into this one too much because it would become a hot topic but I've wanted full AI since 85, its why I became a programmer/tech. But it's too late to stop now, even if the US doesn't move forward, Japan or China will. Actually, I think it will be the asians that beat the US because they are already eons ahead of us with other tech. I find it fun... but for each their own.. I just hope they're like Sonny and not the t-1000.

Proper Ai can develop synthetic human emotion, which is remarking, but reproduction? Wow.
Even Scott didn't see that happening with his synthetics, which were able to do everything else, I mean they developed human emotions, had very life like skin, eyes, etc, but no reproduction. Ash, the first of the synthetics, proved one thing though, while AI will be learn human emotions, that can go good or bad. Ash proved how it could go bad, he became warped, he saw the xeno as a weapon, which many would, and he did have some sympathy for his crew but he also wanted to see the xeno in action. He also knew enough that the way he was assaulting Ripley would not only kill her but shame her.
But as I've said, I see more advantages now since I'm in California where we really don't have proper public transit, and tons, and tons of elderly people who can no longer function without help, so families have to spend thousands a month to put them in homes. So in the future, I see robotics being used to get them around and to care for them for half the price, if not less. Plus, it may sound mean, I think students would be able to be educated by robots if the AI is proper, they wouldn't burn out or get tired of the students who keep asking the annoying questions, they wouldn't burn out by the end of their shift, they'd have more knowledge than a human so they'd be able to give the children an even better education.
I mean so many possibilities.
But breeding? That depends how its used, if they can use xenobots to recreate organs or rebuild the immune systemby reproducing and healing or rebuilding the damaged parts of the human bodey, that would be great, but robot families next door? No thanks...

No thanks... Yap, but there are questions
We created the Xenobots, and they can reproduce. Isn't reproduction a definition of Life ? We give them Social Skills, aren't we responsible to educate them ? Who is responsible for their Ethics ?
Do we need new Laws, just for our AI Friends ?
Deviancy this is an interesting and fascinating subject. We can discuss it here, but if it gets into Hot Topic, feel free to PM me !

hey... osnafrank , Deviancy and Steffen ... I know I have joked a lot in here, and made references to numerous sci fi flicks...etc.
But I just want to say for now, (damn, I am still so busy these days and am I missing out on a lot really cool sh!t lately.💔🙂)
is I agree Frank, everything discussed here is fascinating. And I do think on it all more seriously than it may appear.
I refer back to A LOT of sci fi fiction...because so much fiction has indeed become sci fact. Just look at H.G. Wells.
Looking forward to more reading and posting. Love all you guys. 🙂

We created the Xenobots, and they can reproduce. Isn't reproduction a definition of Life ? We give them Social Skills, aren't we responsible to educate them ? Who is responsible for their Ethics ? Do we need new Laws, just for our AI Friends ? The programmers or those who pull their strings, they'd have that responsibility. It's a lot to take in right now but on some levels, we're playing with limited AI right now that can reproduce, Windows 7 can take memory and reproduce artificial memory to some degree, and Windows 11 supposedly does a lot of "its own thinking" which is driving some nuts because they'll go to sleep and wake up to find Windows 11 re-configured something that they never consented to but the OS figured it was for the best. In short, I know my tech shiet rather well, but they've managed to stump me. In the meantime, while they created robotics that can reproduce, I can't find a decent pair of winter gloves online that don't start to tear apart within a few days.
