While waiting to continue with our Saturday movie, I thought I would share this little tidbit from the "Children in Need" program yesterday. The Fifteenth Doctor's new companion was revealed with a rather impressive cameo of the TARDIS live onstage:
Now, I don't know who this young lady is, either. She's all of eighteen (!) and is apparently a rising star. It'll be interesting to track her adventure with Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor.

Knock, knock! WHO'S there...?
Why, it's Whomas! Or #DoctorWhoDay, as it's more commonly known. The 59th anniversary of the TARDIS' maiden voyage.
Interestingly, the 60th anniversary next year is actually going to fall on Thanksgiving Day itself. That's going to create a uniquely festive aspect of the holiday for we American Whovians. Especially if you're like me and are looking forward to the triumphant return of a certain mad Scotsman at the TARDIS console.
I'll close by wishing a happy Whomas to all, and by sharing this awesome artwork the "Beeb" released earlier. It features every single actor who has played the Doctor, excepting Ncuti Gatwa (whose costume is apparently still a work in progress). But you can tell he's there in spirit. ALLONS-Y!

THE longest running TV series of all time! Sorrrrry I'm late for "Happy Whomas". (taking some time tonight to try and catch up on things.)

Ah, but it's never too late for anything when you have wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff involved, that's the beauty of it!

Whovians are celebrating this lady's birthday today, so I thought I would share this funny compilation of her antics outside the TARDIS:
Happy birthday Doctor Donna!
Best. Companion. Ever.

Good morning and Merry Christmas all! I thought I'd share this greeting from the heart of the TARDIS:
Also, there's to be a treat later today sometime. It was teased yesterday, and many of us assume it's going to be a trailer for the 60th anniversary:

And here is the promised treat. It's got Donna. It's got aliens. It's got what's widely believed to be the Celestial Toymaker, a character not seen since the Sixties. It's got a distinct and hearty "ALLONS-Y!!!"
And poor Ncuti Gatwa is still wondering what the hell is going on here.

It's been a while since this thread's been updated, so I thought I'd share today's Mysterious Tease:
Most Whovians think this is probably a tease for an audio called "Four to Doom's Day", slated to come out in August. I'm not sure what to think of that theory...the show's main socials don't normally hype the audio episodes, and August is quite a ways off. Others think that the "Doom's Day" stuff might be multi-platform...
...and still others think it might be heralding Matt Smith, whose involvement in the 60th anniversary specials is still up in the air. Smith's Doctor was Eleven, and that mysterious clock stops at eleven. I don't know how likely that is, but as a Tennant fan who went right over the moon when she learned she'd be seeing her favorite Doctor again, I want to believe it. I'd like the fans of the other Doctors to have that moment of joy.
So what's this? Spinoff? Movie? A line of barbecue sauces? WHO knows? We'll be watching...

Well, good morning, fellow Whovians!
Today is the 72nd birthday of Peter Davison, also known as the Fifth Doctor among many other things. He's also had roles in The Tomorrow People, All Creatures Great and Small, and The Last Detective among many others.
Now, here is a fact not everyone is aware of. In 2008 Davison's daughter Georgia appeared in an episode of DW called "The Doctor's Daughter" in which she played...the Doctor's daughter. Specifically the daughter of Ten, as this was during David Tennant's tenure. Clearly the two of them hit it off, because they began dating.
Still with me?
They got hitched in 2011 and have five kids. Three of these also now bear the title "The Doctor's Daughter" but the Doctor is also their grandfather. And the Doctor's Daughter is also their mum.
And there's nothing on Earth more entertaining than explaining all of this to a non-Whovian, preferably with a lot of alcohol involved.
Happy birthday, Five!

Good morning Tanith 😊 I hope your week is going good for you. We haven’t seen as much of you lately.
I first got to know Davidson as Seigfried’s younger brother. I was put off at the idea of him succeeding Tom Baker as The Doctor, I just couldn’t see Tristan being HIM. But he did well and I got used to him after awhile.😊
Hmmm…. Who was it that came after him? Sylvester McCoy? Never cared much for him as Who either, but not too long ago I saw him starring in a fairly recent thriller titled “The Owners”. He was very good and quite villainous in that. 😊

Heya, wolf! Glad to see you're back to your old self. During my heavier workweeks I don't get to post as much, but this is a "lighter" one.
Colin Baker (no relation to Tom) followed Davison, and when he left he was replaced by Sylvester McCoy, who was the last of what I think of as the "Gen One" Doctors. I enjoyed him, but not as much as I enjoyed Tom Baker who was the king of his era.

lol, thanks. But I’m not myself. I’m just trying to keep on doing wolf things, and maintaining some kind of routine like I usually do.🙂

I wish I knew what more I could do...but sending you healing vibes from the heart of the TARDIS.
Oh, and this. Another day, another Doctor birthday. This time it's Peter Capaldi, and while Twelve didn't have a familiar catchphrase like "Allons-y" or "Geronimo", he did have one of the most epic speeches in the "Gen Two" era to date.

Thank you 🙂❤️….just keep on being you and letting us enjoy your company so much. No one needs to be feeling bad, sh!t happens. Just saying how it is. 🙂
Great Capaldi scene! Thank you. I’ve always liked him.
Back when I had cable, we had BBC America for awhile, and I caught a couple of episodes of Eccleston with Rose (Billie something?, he was alright.
Later I saw a few episodes with the Muse and Rose and actually got to see their last episode together, where he’d left a single hearted version of himself with her. I had missed numerous surrounding segments, unfortunately. I didn’t have much time for tv back then.
Tennant became the BEST Doctor since Tom Baker….for me.😊
What actor came after Mc Coy, Tanith? 🙂

What actor came after Mc Coy, Tanith? 🙂 Technically Paul McGann, if one counts the movie from '96. Not everyone was a fan of the movie but it seems from the BBC's standpoint it's canon.
After him John Hurt, the War Doctor, who was only seen in the 50th anniversary special ten years ago.
And then Gen Two took over...Eccleston, Tennant (Billie Piper was Rose, btw), Smith, Capaldi, Whittaker, and now Tennant (again!) for the three upcoming anniversary specials, and then Ncuti Gatwa will be at the helm of the TARDIS.
It's an exciting time to be a Whovian, for sure!

Yes it is 😄 awww, thank you for all of that, VERY nice to get the lineage, and other info!
I like McGann and I would love to see the movie! I hadn’t much time for cinema and tv during those years either.💔
And John Hurt! Had no idea he’d been a Time Lord. That is awesome. 😍

Oh, it's my pleasure...we Whovians love to share our obsessions with anyone who asks!
I think John Hurt was as surprised as anyone:

We got some more happy news Monday; Murray Gold, who has produced some of the most iconic music in the modern era of the show, is returning as composer!
If you need your memory jogged, here's a favorite of mine, we always heard it at the beginning of the most epic episodes:

Well.
As our Saturday afternoon movie was drawing to a close, the TARDIS began VWORPING about something on Twitter. I took a gander and found...this.
Yeah. I have no idea, but the Whovian sector of the Twitterverse is exploding as I type. Further updates as events warrant.
