What’s a childhood memory you have that whole emphasizes your childhood decades weird trends? (For example think of if your childhood was a movie, what one scene would make it incredibly dated?)
All the girls wore platform shoes because of the Spice Girls. I wanted some too, but I didn't get any. I got a sand-coloured pair with semi-plateaus though, but that didn't count to me. I know I’m ancient compared to you but we also wore platform shoes in the 70’s; I had a pair of wedges that made me 5 inches taller!
If you wore that with a floor length denim skirt it made you look like you had really long legs (rofl)

My platform shoes were like runners, with Pepsi logo on them. Wore them with my elephant pants. Lol (When my sister’s house burned down, those shoes were one of the things my niece asked me for,)

According to my nurse, I should have been gone by now. Not thrilled with what the Nurse said too you. It did not need to be said. Has she always lacked personality or has she always had diarrhea of the mouth? Yes, to your question. I've had Breast Cancer twice. Diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 1986 after 8 months in hospital, 3 surgeries, 38 procedures, lost 45 lbs too and have to have colonoscopies 2X/year. I have a blockage right now that puts me to tears (and swearing like a construction worker) often. I guess that's about it. At least that is all I am willing to write about. I can honestly say that other than a major pain in my A$$, I'm fine

Sandy, I love my nurse! She is the most honest person I have ever come across in the medical field! Her, and I were just talking about that the other day, and she told me that 4 people have asked her to leave their house because she is so blunt. I want to hear the truth, not have it sugar coated, or kept from me.
She keeps telling me that she is going to miss me when I am gone because I always say something that makes her laugh, and she does the same to me.
She may come across as rude to some people, but I find her attitude refreshing.
I am so sorry that you have gone through so much in your life. I can't imagine having to deal with all that!!
You know I had cancer also, but mine was taken care of pretty quickly, and never returned.
I am thinking now that my heart went all crazy, that I may die of a heart attack before the kidney disease gets me. On the 21st will be one year since I found out.

I'm really happy you have found the right nurse for you! She sounds like she minces no words which is great!

Rollerskating was THE THING. I had my own skates, white with red glitter wheels, red pompoms and red glitter strings. Me and most of my friends had a weekend pass to the skating rink - Friday night, all day Saturday & Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon. I was born in 1969 - so 1976-1980 I lived at the skating rink. Roller disco ruled. BeeGees, Donna Summer, Mirrorballs - those were the days.

Thank you, Holly. I do want the truth, not half truths, or nothing at all.
