It was only in the low 50s here today. Cloudy and cold. It was in the high 80s just two days ago!
I just looked up your weather and it says 4° C (40° F) so looks like you guys are having similar weather to us
Hey! It could be worse, right?
Lololol Where did you find a picture of Main Street in Mandan??! I laughed so hard!! That must've been from two years ago when we had between 4-5 feet of snow.
They are predicting snow tonight.

We are having a few of those rare days... Clear and crisp blue sky, cool but with a very soft-warm breeze, golden trees... I'm trippin' balls here! But in a good, sane way. f010

No idea how that happened - did not even know such a place existed.
Too bad we cannot multi-quote - was going to tell spideyman to just look at that photo and maybe it would help cool her off c041

For the first time in my life, I own a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I anticipate NO SNOW on the east coast for the next few years now

I anticipate NO SNOW on the east coast for the next few years now I have had a 4 wheel drive vehicle (first a 1997 Jeep Cherokee, then a 2007 Jeep Liberty) for a while. Think I got the Cherokee in 2003? and got the Liberty in 2013 - where we live it's nice to have (there's a lot of snow and it gets pretty cold), so you don't want to get stranded somewhere.

Yes, after our last big snow storm this year, we got about 16 inches in 3-4 hours, which is huge for us. I had my wok car (Ford Explorer), but saw so many people stuck, I said no way.

OMG That's crazy! Mandan is where I just moved from. I know the lady who owns the bookstore in the picture. I went to school with a few of her kids.

It's nice and chilly and stormy. I'm just going to ignore the fact that it will be 24°C and sunny this Saturday. 014 And in all fairness, it will probably be nice. It's not July anymore, thank God!

I've been drinking quite a bit of cold water (that's probably not helping!) a014

I hope that thing stays in the mist.
Ah yes, a nice hot drink. I like warm milk with anise...

They are predicting 3-4" of snow in the next few days. Today it was in the low 40s, sleeting, with over 40 mph winds. Gross.

Wow, I’ve only seen real snow maybe only twice where I live.

We got the same thing here yesterday afternoon - started out as rain then turned into frozen rain and finally snow. I was out in my flip flops! Felt much better after I got home and changed into closed toe shoes and a jacket
Doesn't look like it's going to melt either (was hoping the temperature would go up today).
Guess it could have been worse.
This is from the news:
Manitoba Hydro has extra crews responding to outages across the province as a result of snowy weather moving though the province.
As of 5:45 p.m., more than 17,000 customers were in the dark. Manitoba Hydro spokesperson Bruce Owen said customers can expect problems throughout the afternoon as the weather system moves east.
Luckily we still have heat and light - would be so much worse to be left out in the cold and dark.
