Everything on this soundtrack was good....
What about you, Dev? Got any good soundtracks to bring, Deviancy ?
"Eddie and the Cruisers" was a great flick, best song from it....
The artist who did that tune for real, John Cafferty...

What about you, Dev? Got any good soundtracks to bring; Deviancy ? For me personally, the Lost Boys, the songs just mesh perfectly in the scenes they're featured in, and its just a lot of good bands, some were one hit wonders but Echo And The Bunnymen's cover of People Are Strange blew the original away, and of course Cry Little Sister, excellent song. Purple Rain comes next, great soundtrack and great Prince album in general, the film however was a bit corny, thought it was cool when I was a kid but Prince was Christian Bale, but he was kind of supposed to be playing himself since the story was loosely based on his real life. Valley Girl comes in at #3, the songs weren't super popular when the film was released but almost all of the songs are treasures to many these days like the Payola$ Eyes Of A Stranger, Psychedelic Fur's Love My Way, and of course Modern English's Melt With You. As a fan of new wave and late 80's metal and 90's alt rock, Elm Street 4's soundtrack comes in at #4, it features Blondie, Love/Hate, Vinnie Vincent, Dramarama, Sinead O'Connor, and other rock, new wave, and what would be considered alt rock later type of bands. As for the Crow reboot, I'm hoping they go all goth this time around, its the way its supposed to be, that's O'Barr wrote it to be. Sounds like it will be, they already said Joy Division, the Cure, and Bauhaus will be featured, but they're still having casting issues.

I forgot one soundtrack, not how I did it, not every song was a gem, there were a few turds on the soundtrack, but not enough for it not to be included on the list. Romeo and Juliet, the one with Leo and Claire, not only was it a great soundtrack, it exposed the world to a great band that was just started out called Garbage, with the lovely Shirley Manson on vocals. I remember hearing #1 Crush for the first time, I was like, "damn, this song is f'in hot", and then I saw her and I was like, "she's as hot as the damn song". It also featured that Cardigans song that song that some couldn't stand, but I actually liked it, and so did Ozzy, Ozzy delivered flowers to the singer in person because he loved her voice. The reason I forget it is because I'm not that crazy about the film but I do dig the soundtrack. But while I named off a few soundtracks, I only owned two, still have one of the two on cassette, still looks cherry after all these years, The Lost Boys soundtrack, and I have Purple Rain somewhere. One odd thing, a lot of the girls I've been with were huge soundtrack junkies, so I always had copies of the cd's they bought. None of them however liked 80's metal/hard rock, so I'd buy the 80's hard rock/metal albums, they'd get all the top 40 stuff and make me copies, so I was good to go.
